NSW Cup 2026

[EddieC]

Hagan goes 70m to score.

70? I don’t think it was length of the field we were at the game and it seemed more like 30?

[EddieC]

Schiller looks like a legend in cup lol

He would be good in the super league

Totally agree mate! I’ve just spent the last 4 months in the UK and he would be a great prospect there! Watched a few games where a few old Newie boys played and totally holding their own!

Game next week happens a day after firstgrade in Melbourne, so we can give all the guys who miss out on firstgrade some decent game time before our next bye.

Absolutely appreciate all your updates and knowledge, particularly in the lower grades @Billy. Awesome work every week mate.

[Frank McWilliams]

Was nice to watch the Cup especially with the performance of many who did very well.
Our middles look good for the future, young guns Hopwood and Crouch played strong, actually the starting pack all played well, nice to see Jones back from injury.
It’s a strong squad and I’m hopeful that they will continue this form giving us a huge chance to make the semi’s.

[Roundtable]

As always, at any point in a game Francis can decide he's the best player on the field and there's nothing anyone can do to stop him.

Need him in first grade i recon

Need him in first grade i recon

In the 17 at least.

I thought that was the best I’ve seen Votano play. He’s become the forgotten man. I think he’s really only a fullback, maybe a 5/8th? I do wonder if we’ll try to keep him as a backup fullback although he’s still behind Sharpe and Hunt.

[Billy]

Hopwood and Manuleleua are starting.
Hola to the bench, Kepaoa to wing.
Very strong looking forward pack.

Right edge has Manuleleua, Gamble, Winter, Schiller and Votano - and 3 slick tries

[Owey]

Interesting that Manuleleua is playing on the right after killing it all year on tge left. Adding another string to his bow?

[Billy]

Kyle McCarthy took an intercept and ran 80 to score

[Billy]

20-6 after 35

[Billy]

20 - 12 after 37 - Impressive work by former Knights junior Preston Conn for the try assist

Hopwood played out the 40.
Diesal Hagan jumped out of dummy half on about his second touch and was held up over the line after a 10 metre run.

[Billy]

26 - 12
try by Kepaoa who is playing on the wing - did a fair Marzhew impersonation

[Billy]
