The timeslots are a joke, why not make it a mid week comp?

Lets be honest the crowds are pretty dismal anyway even when leading into the NRL.........

How about half the games be on Mon-Wed.

TV companies would be all over it for mine.
 
There have been some brilliant crowds for Knights games.

Agree it’s not ideal though, but I’m not sure there’s a great solution. I don’t think playing weekday nights would make it easier for kids to watch or people to get to games.

One thing I think is a must though is a standalone grand final! Last year’s epic deserved more than a few thousand who showed up for the men’s game paying half attention.
 
It has to remain weird time slots on weekends for now while the game is still building. It's not ideal but the competition needs time to grow.
 
There'd be few if any living off their NRLW contracts alone so not really feasible to travel and play midweek while also working real jobs. Plenty are flat out just getting to training a few nights a week as is.

meh if people want to go watch it they would. mens team would pull the same crowds at 11am as they do in any other timeslot. im not afraid to say i have very little interest in it and would rather watch nsw cup.
they played a game after the mens team last year or the year before and a fair few hung around but alot left also, maybe they could look at that again if its bigger crowds they want.

Yeah I would like to see a stand alone GF but given the good ratings it may be hard to argue the benefits of a stand alone when the crowds are still not likely to be great.

Interestingly the NRLW managed a million more viewers for the season than the AFLW despite them playing twice as many games. That’s in spite of the poor time slots so that’s a pretty good result.
