Top 15 middles in the NRLW for metres per game.

As frustrating as some of our other players were yesterday, this to me is pretty stark.
 
Yeah our middle is the biggest issue and we still came third without CJ. Replace 2 or 3 of our middles with better athletes and we’d be a lot better off.

We’re then just left with the issue of Jesse. The replacement is ready to go but what do they do with her if she doesn’t get her **** together? I know she’s still very young but her regression is really strange.
 
Jones and Roche in the halves.
Jesse has all the tools to play hooker - great defender, great passing game - likes to run.
She played some hooker in Tarsha Gale as well as some lock, because she only filled in for a handful of games and they didn't want to move the regular halves around for her.
She went ff to play 7s for Aus after a few games.

shes far too lazy to play hooker, she can barely keep up at half let alone be involved in every play. Skills yes she does though

Still think that Jessie and Evie should be starting halves with Roche to 13 and Hannah playing front row

Jessie needs a good off season with halves coach to get her kicking game back and then to get the confidence with her running game which she had last year

Higgins with Ollerton 14 as the dummy half combo as surely Maynard will get offers from Bulldogs or Tigers etc closer to home in Sydney

That would be a more potent spine if they get fit and get the confidence a lot looked like they were lacking this year back
 
I feel the NRL didn't do us any favours giving us 2 Qld trips in the final 2 rounds something they haven't done to any other club
And we looked like we had been on the road yesterday
Jones had one of her worst games for us
Rommy has been a shadow of what she had been
We did miss CJG and butler big time
Jesse Southwell really offered nothing and she's been below par all year
I think the bench rotation was trash and mcewn especially should of come on when we were down 16-4
Predebron had a great opening 6 minutes then for what ever reason was hooked and it went badly down hill from there especially once rommy replaced her

Jefferies had a negative affect on this team so much so we have had our worse amount of loses since our first year
I don't think a lot of the team get along with him or believe in he's capabilities
As a lot of our girls whernt at there best
Frankly if it wasnt for the class of our girls we most likely miss the finals
We were good enough to finish first yet also so far off it too

We need some big changes in the fowards
Jesse either bench utitly or back up
Mcewn in for Jones
Carter and a few others in the tarsha gale look the goods
And I don't think Jefferies is the right coach for the job at all didn't at the beginning of the year and don't now
He had one of the easiest jobs and tried to change the culture to much which I believe raffled some feathers

Roche was easily our best half when her and Jones teamed up it was electric
Roche as lock is a no go for me
Southwell needs to have a hard look at herself
 
I can't jump on the Jeffries hate wagon just yet because anything less than a premiership was going to be considered a failure. The reality is, we finished 3rd, still did very well. 3 premierships in a row is a very hard thing to do, bound to lose eventually. Next season is his chance to fix any issues from this year, recruit, change things.

I would not be stuck in the mindset of Jesse being only a half either, she's a big strong girl, there's no reason she can't develop into a ball playing, running forward. She had a poor game, Roche and Evie Jones impressed this year.

This negativity towards Jefferies is just weird.

I think everyone forgets that the comp improved by a big margin this yr, Likes of Sharks, Eels improved immensely, Broncos squad improved on efforts last year but choked hugely in finals game.

The final 3 games of the season before Roosters game we were demolishing teams with some of our best attack as a team, that has Jefferies imprint all over.
I loved Uncle Ron too, however last season we played very poorly in a bunch of games and it took Tamika to get us through it.

Loosing CJ and Rima was the Deth nell unfortunately in the Roosters Game. Poor performance sure, but hating on Jefferies after just 9 games and not looking at the fact teams improved heaps this season is a really, really weird take.

Next year will be even tougher. Not sure if comp is going longer yet with the two new teams
