NRLW Round 9 - Knights vs Cowboys - 3:15pm Saturday 21st September - Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Karpani had her best game I thought.
Her stats aren't that impressive but I thought she held our middle together at the start.

I was wondering why we were attacking down the left so much, and then saw Tillot was there. Some of our girls would still remember her as our worst defender at one time.

The only 2 out there who had any experience playing with Tillett at the Knights were Dibb & Manzelmann. Johnston played half a game with her before breaking her arm.

Been saying all year most of the frustrations people have with Jesse come back to just how overused she was. She's always good for a couple of try involvements as she was again today, it looks more impressive when it's on half as many touches. Glad they're finally starting to put real focus on the left.

Getting up the field with Clydsdale, Roche & Upton causing havoc down that side and then swinging it over to Southwell with McEwen running off her could be lethal next year.

Not much in the presser - Upton and Higgins were given early marks but no concerns. No one asked about Butler but assuming it’s a minor MCL strain she’d be a good chance next week.

Main reaction to that game was that not picking Evah for the sake of her age or whatever seems an example of being conservative to a fault. Especially given how in need the team has looked of an injection of athleticism at times.

Looking at the highlights - I don't want to bang on about Tillot because I quite like her playmaking skills and she seems nice, but she's going to have nightmares about Upton and Clydsdale.

Only just saw this because I had watching the All Blacks game before that. Big win for the girls again and get some momentum before finals. Hopefully Parra win by 35 tomorrow lol.

I don't know exactly when Evah was ready, but I can say she has come on a hell of a journey this year.
In the early rounds of Tarsha Gale it was a 50/50 chance she would catch the ball, and even at the end of Tarsha Gale she seemed to bomb as many tries as she scored.
Every game she has got a little bit better all season and she's clearly firstgrade ready now, but she was lucky to keep a spot in the team in the early rounds of Tarsha Gale.

That’s crazy, you’d think she’d been plugging away in reggies for years watching her today.
Well her ability to monster opposition in attack and defence was there from day one - I think God get's credit for that - but she had to learn how to throw a pass, catch a pass, stay in position, run a good line etc etc etc.

She was so impressive. Getting through that much work on debut and didn’t look out of place at all.

It actually looked like there were two Clydesdales out there at times. That’s pretty much the highest complement anyone could give a young backrower too, that they played like Clydesdale.

Really hope she stays in the side. We’ll need her physicality and the Roosters haven’t had to deal with her before
