Locked into the 3-5 range. The teams we're jostling with are playing the Roosters & Broncos but they could opt to rest players with them already locked into the top 2 and little to gain.

Predebon injured, looked bad at first but she was walking on it alright when she got off the field. Assume Vette-Welsh is out if she failed HIA.

I thought it was a pretty illustrative game for the strengths and weaknesses of this team. I think they’re well coached and stick to their processes well overall but just in terms of pure talent the margin for error is lower than for the other good teams. They basically have to complete well and maximise good field position. With the Roosters or Broncos the other team can play perfect for 30 minutes but then once they slip up, when a team has that much firepower, it’s punished instantly, usually. The Knights can’t do that, need to work their way to their points more, need to not make mistakes. But mistakes happen in footy! It’s not evidence of some lack of character or something like people always say.

But yeah the foundation for this team is really good. I don’t think you can understate how much difference having one of the top props, like an Elliston, and an elite strike/yardage player like a Kelly or Biddle, would make.

Really really impressive debut from Finau and she looks like she can be that backline player we need. But we need that prop. Preferably two, but one would make a big difference.

Tinao gotta go, we get absolutely killed through the middle the moment she comes on.

Has Evie Jones ever played fullback? We really need someone else.
 
Finau played Tarsha Gale this year and was arguably our best in Tarsha Gale and reserve grade last year - it was very close between her and McEwen.
McEwen also played some Tarsha Gale this year.
They have a lot in common - both 18/19 - both second row - both strong and fast - both love to score a try.
I'd say the thing holding Finau back a bit is her ball security - she does turn the ball over far too often, but not once in this game, so maybe she has got that under control.
 
I'd say Mercedez will debut on the wing next week.
For the last 2 or 3 games in reserve grade she has been doing a lot of hit-ups. She is as big as Sheridan and I'd say she runs as hard, but doesn't have the footwork or speed.
 
Could they throw Clydesdale into lock for a game. Think I’d rather that than having either Kukutai or Tinao there
 
Alternative for the bench would be Jones coming back in as the utility and Kirkpatrick going back to a more traditional forward role.

Think we're out of luck for fullbacks unless they want to try Gallagher/Parker/Willison there.
 
Jones doesn't look very fit in her 2 games back after a long injury lay off.
Ollerton at hooker is going fantastic in reserves.
