This is ridiculous. I can't even imagine the justification.

As much as she started the game really well, the player to drop to send a message would be Willison, caught horribly out of position constantly at the back end of the last game.

In the commentary last week they said McEwen and one of the Sharks players were having a blow up or something like that in back play.
They may have decided her discipline cost us and be giving her a wake up call.

Finau getting a debut is good. She will be a force next year - although I don't think she has improved much this year.

Her and the Sharks lock were jawing at each other at one stage but it seemed like she wasn't the one that initiated it, and if it carried on beyond that I didn't see it. It'd be a weird thing to punish her for in any case. Guess we'll find out more when Jeffries speaks to the media but it's surprising for now.

Finau has played all of her footy on the left edge, both at centre and second-row (generally with McEwen on the right). Notable that she's there over Kirkpatrick as well. Glad she's getting a debut but strange circumstances.

Just had a look at the replay and McEwen was pretty slack on the line break which led to the field goal so that may be it.

Reeks of someone being made an example of because there were a bunch of comparable or worse defensive efforts before that.

Didn’t see that, she has gotten into a few scuffles this season. If that’s what it is I guess that’s understandable. Still I think it’s pretty harsh given all the poor performances in that second half, most notably the coaches use of the interchange bench.

Interested to see how Finau goes. If she had a good game would like to see her on the left edge for our final match. I know she’s a weapon in attack, how does she usually go defensively?

Jefferies is cooked.

Evah and Giampino dropped yet Parker still keeps her place. This club is washed man.

1-17 as named with Giampino the replacement player.

Didn't get a presser with Jeffries this week so still in the dark about exactly what happened with McEwen.
