Hannah should have got the gladiator award.
Playing injured all year and being a major contributor should have been acknowledged.

Geez we have something special with this team, 3 peat incoming
They are just a wonderful group of ladies

We need to lock down
Parker, Gallagher, a.roche, Johnston, pedderborn, rommy, butler, higgens and Maynard for multiple years, To go with the southwells, clysdale, Upton and Roache that's a solid group right there if we can keep that group together for a while we will have continued success

Southwell was good this year but far from her best regardless of her injury, clysdale does all the little things that really matter in attack and defence on a continuous bases, those little things might be small in wording but they have the greatest impact on the field she barely ever has a off game I'm so glad Yasmin is getting the recognition she deserves

The final leaderboard for Player of the Year was;

1. Upton
2. Clydsdale
3. Johnston
4. Parker
5. Butler

They didn't mention the votes for the last few rounds to keep some degree of suspense but Upton had picked up the 3 points in all but 1 of the first 7 rounds I believe, the only other being Georgia Roche vs Brisbane.

Butler making the top 5 after missing half the season with injury shows how good she should be for us next year.
We really had a lot of bad luck in the forwards that could have derailed our season if others hadn't stepped up to do a great job.
Butler missing half the season.
Karpani missing half the season.
Hannah Southwell missing a few games and playing injured all season.
Tinao missing most of the season.
Jules Kirkpatrick not even making it to the starting blocks - injured before the season started.
Even Clydsdale was injured in SOO before the season started and wasn't at her best in the early rounds.

On the plus side;
Albert-Jones started the season pretty poorly but got better and better all season, till she was one of our best in the big games.
Davison stepped up from being a rookie to being a quality middle over the season.
Carter also made big strides.
Romaniuk was OK last year but stepped up several levels this year.
Caitlan started the year a bit slow, but was back to her best by the finals.
Hannah Southwell was both a negative and a positive, She wasn't at her best, but we didn't have her last year, and she was still our best defender, even half fit.
Higgins was able to spend a lot of time in the forwards with Maynard at hooker.

In short, we had enough bad luck in our forwards to derail our season, but several stepped up to keep us on track.

If we can start next year with a fully fit;

8 Butler
9 Higgins
10 Davison
11 Clydsdale
12 Johnston
13 Southwell

14 Maynard
15 Romaniuk
16 Albert-Jones
17 whoever looks best between Predebon, Karpani, Tinao, Carter or someone new.

We will be much stronger in the forwards next year.

I would leave CJ in the middle. She’s one of the best middles in the game. I don’t think she was as good on an edge, or even notably better than Laishon tbh.

I watched a bit of the presentation night.
Very long and tedious night.
Some of those girls were very drunk by the time they got around to actually giving out the awards - or maybe they only needed a few drinks to top up after a few days of celebrating.
Probably lucky it was the girls. If the boys had been that cut on presentation night they could have said anything.

There is no way pedderborn ain't in the 17 she will be one of the first picked each week if available and Johnson will be starting frontrow coach tried her in 2ndrow and even said we weren't getting the impact she gives with her there so he put her back in the fowards and left her there, yes injuries forced the hand at first, but Ron stuck with the change due to this

It goes way to long, I understand it's a prestigious knight for the club, but the evening went longer then the season did lol
25 minutes handing out couple rewards and handing out points for rounds 1 to 3
Then 45 minutes of music that almost could put one to sleep
Then another 25 minutes doing the same thing
Before over a hour of the same music
Before ending the knight with the big awards
Could easily do the first 6 rounds and the awards before having a break, really isn't any reason for the entertainment to be so long
It was almost like they were attending her concert

I watched the end of the presentation night. Because the presentation nights is so long, many (if not all) of the girls are going to drink, they can’t be blamed for being tipsy when the major awards are presented at the end.

Management need to reduce the length of the presentation night.

I thought Predebon has looked pretty off the pace most of the season tbh and she really struggled to keep up with the Titans forwards in the grand final, both in terms of leg speed/footwork and, honestly and more concerningly, power. I hope she’s been carrying a niggle because otherwise honestly I think she might be out of the game by the time her current contract is up. She doesn’t seem to make anything like as many metres post contact against the better middles as she used to, and in defence in yardage in particular it seems to take her two tackles to get back inside after making one, and she really seems quite ineffective in the wrestle.

I think her niche if she doesn’t drastically improve in the gym is as a bench forward you can throw on for short minutes against fatigued middles, but I thought Rima has looked way better in that role, as well as better as a starter and more comfortable/effective in defence… it may be the case within a couple of seasons that you really can’t carry multiple girls that big in your team. And if I could only pick one I’m taking Butler.
