NRLW 2026

It probably should, a League ball is made for men’s hands. Women have smaller hands, much smaller in some cases (mine are tiny) it just makes sense to have a slightly smaller ball. I just don’t know why it’s taken this long.

If they do run with it next year, will be interesting to see just how far Dibb can boot a smaller ball. Could be a nice advantage for us
 
It happens a lot. Teams can go with them for 30-40 mins, then their fitness takes over and they start piling on points.

Us and the Raiders are the only ones who’ve taken them all the way and we should’ve won if not for them being allowed a try off a two metre forward pass.

I do think the Titans can get them in the finals though. Roosters have a habit of choking in finals matches
 
I decided to watch the Titans V Tigers match to see what we are up against this week, and have to say the Tigers must have really upset the footy Gods - every bounce of the ball went against them and everything the Titans tried worked perfectly.
Titans were the better side, but 58 points was crazy.
 
Raiders win, so Knights will need to upset the Titans (by at least 2 points) to avoid the Broncos regardless of the Broncos result this week.
 
This Raiders v Tigers game is better than I thought it would be. Pretty fast game that’s for sure. Tigers have done well considering all the penalties they’ve been smashed with
 
Not necessarily….

If Brisbane win (most likely) it will be Roosters Vs Raiders, Broncos Vs Titans

If Newcastle win, Titans Vs Raiders, Roosters Vs Knights
 
All grades except NRLW have ditched the 6 team finals series.

Teams go off the boil when they get a week off, so the top two getting a first round of finals bye and then having to go straight into a knockout game doesn't help them.

The Raiders had to play their best game of the year against a Tigers side that gave it everything, so next week the Raiders will be at their very best and come up against a side who have not played a serious opponent for a while.

I don't mind seeing either the Roosters or Titans, or both, get ambushed in this way, but it really shows the 6 team finals is a seriously flawed format and I won't be happy if we are top 2 next year and they still use this format.

Yeah I think if any team can cause an upset to either of them it’s the Raiders. They took it to the Roosters in their game and like us probably should’ve won. Roosters don’t generally need an excuse to choke, they’ve done it plenty of times in the past

I can’t help but feel the NRLW competition has been a joke from the beginning of the season with the final outcome being widely tipped in the pre season. The crowd numbers are down significantly this year as well and it feels like a competition without any integrity.
On top of that, if you listen to the commentators, the “experts” and some of the senior players from the Rorters and the Donkeys, there is an arrogance and almost entitlement that they should be winning all the time.
Middle Australia look at this in total and realise it doesn’t pass the pub test.
I couldn’t care less which team wins next Sunday and certainly won’t be wasting my time watching it.

Yeah the Roosters players in particular, seem to have their heads too far up their own asses and aren’t seeing the bigger picture.

Yes I take their argument that the Roosters have invested heavily in their women’s program and the other clubs need to do the same. Eg We saw the turn around with the Tigers after putting more full time staff on and better coaches.

However, the comparisons to the men’s comp and Panthers dominance is just a dumb argument because the NRL has been a full time professional code for 30 years and existed since the turn of last century. It’s comparing apples and oranges.

A comp that’s still in its relative infancy and only semi-professional at this stage can’t afford such a lopsided comp. Not when one of those dominant teams has no fans. Frankly the Bronx supporters aren’t that much better.

What reason do other clubs have for supporting their side when they know they’re not even a chance before a ball is kicked?

There’s an easy fix too. Bring back the two Marquee players that can be paid outside the cap and it will help balance out the top talent. That’s how the Knights got Millie and Tamika. No idea why they took it away but it’s the easiest fix until they go full-time professional
