NRL Round 8 - Knights Vs Panthers - 2:00pm Sunday, 26st April - McDonald Jones Stadium

Lefty

Danny 'Bedsy' Buderus
Following our loss to the Roosters, we now have 4 wins and 3 losses and currently we are in 9th place. We now have a week to prepare ourselves to play the Panthers at home.

The Dogs have beaten Penrith and the Fins were leading them with 5 minutes to go. So Panthers are beatable, however, realistically we would need to have our full strength team (or very close to it) to be able to beat them. We will be missing 4 key players and we have been very disappointing in our last two games. Marzhew came off with a head knock, so he will need to be cleared to play.

Penrith will be missing Martin and Kenny.

Sportsbet currently has us at $3.90 and the Panthers at $1.26.

We probably should try to get everyone fit for round 10, where it looks like we'll have a run of winnable games and a bye.
Penrith and Souths are not games we want to rush anyone back for.

Not a winnable game sadly.

Get through it and not be an embarrassing score line for us to have a red hot crack at Souths, Dragons and Titans leading into our first Bye.

KP hopefully back for Dragons game.

I haven’t rated South all year to be honest

Not sure we
Get anyone else back in that time frame. Maybe Frizz

2 pm game on Sunday. Manu and ESL are better for the run. Manu showed some promising signs, so hopefully he can repeat it. Hunt great in the centres, that will be his spot until Best comes back. Marz good. Sharpe is disappointing, but surely he will turn it around in this game. DB will be better for the run, should be better this game.

Same as the Roosters game, not confident with this one, but we are at home, so you think that counts for something. We can draw on the good footy we have played over the season to date. As long as we don't get pumped, I'm happy, and we take some confidence away. The forwards need to have better first-up contact.
