NRL Round 6 - Tigers Vs Knights - 4:05pm Sunday, 12th April - Campbelltown Sports Stadium

I would like to see WDC on the wing in first grade one day, he has the talent and he just got taught a lot of lessons tonight in a pretty hard way. I hope he takes it personally and puts more effort into all areas of his training.
I think he needs more time in NSW cup and some more coaching. The Knights just signed him for three years. He will be back.

I reckon if we played Leo Thompson we would’ve only conceded 42 points.

I don’t see Mooney as a starter. He needed to step up early but went missing and he’s better suited coming off the bench. The issue with the Niukore signing is he’s in the same boat, probably more effective as an impact player off the bench.

Mooney started the year off better than expected but has been average the last month.

I believe Niukore is being signed as the Frizz replacement. Impact off the bench in the middle.

De Courcey is still a huge talent. He had a bad day today. McCarthey is a better defensive centre you will see him next week. Or hunt to centre and sharpe to FB
McCarthy looks solid and safe in NSW cup tonight. Scored one and set up another before half time. I would think he is a chance for next week against the roosters.

Maybe we can start Saulo and tell him he is only getting one stint 20-30mins and he can give it all he has like against the dogs.
Then Mooney can play the rest of the game.
It's worth a try.

I agree. Saulo at least try to wack blokes and isn’t afraid to run hard even though at times he does get dominated.

I was at the game today but channel 9
Decided for the first time I've seen since I was 15 (im 44) to whack an ugly big election on the southern hill. So missed half the game. Absolute BS. I dont even know who to vote for this week.

Across the board we were down on execution, and everything went the Tigers way particularly in the first half.
We were gassed at halftime from lack of possession, six agains and penalties . Playing catch up in the second half without Ponga, Brown and Best was never going to win us the game.
The WDC thing was unfortunate, maybe more time in reggies and a shot on the wing in first grade later in the year would help build confidence.
One player who hasn’t improved from last season is Lucas. His involvement is down generally, maybe because no Ponga combination on LH in attack. I don’t know why but his form is definitely down on last year. Hopefully it improves, because he’s a gun backrower when he’s firing.

All in all I’m not too concerned by this loss, we were still resilient enough to score some late tries, and I think Holbrook will make the necessary adjustments and fix stuff, so we should be better next week.

Mooney has been fairly average all year Ive thought. He isn't a starter.

A 35/36 yo backrower Frizell is by far the better middle. Day light between them.

Signing Niukore, a guy who has been a fill-in for the 17 for middle of the road teams, isn't going to do anything for us next season.

ESL to an edge next week, Lucas to centre.
