NRL Round 6 - Tigers Vs Knights - 4:05pm Sunday, 12th April - Campbelltown Sports Stadium

After comprehensively defeating the Raiders yesterday, we now have 4 wins from 5 games and are in third place on the ladder.

We have a week to prepare to play the resurgent Tigers at Campbelltown.

The Tigers have won 3 from 4 games (plus a bye) and are in second place. They played well enough to beat Parramatta in Golden Point today and they will be strengthened if Luai is fit to play next Sunday. Under Benji’s coaching KPP has been allowed to play his attacking game and is now dangerous with the ball. Wests will have a large hostile crowd encouraging them. We will have to play well to beat them.

We will be without Best who has a groin strain. We will have to wait until 4:00pm tomorrow to find out who will replace him.

Sportsbet currently has the Tigers at $1.65 and the Knights at $2.24. I hope we continue to reduce Sportsbet’s profits!

Think something we did well against the raiders was stop their offloads which is a pretty strong part of their game and it is something that we will have to bring into this game against the tigers because they like to play fast and off the back of second phase play which saw them hold all the momentum for the back end of the first half and the start of the second, giving them a fair lead. I see them targeting marz in the air a lot too with the Tavana kid so that is something we will have to look out for. If Luai is not back I would be attacking their left edge all day because defensively they have struggled on that side and dom looks to be in the form of his life right now. Will be a good game nonetheless and will be big if we can go 5-1 into the roosters clash.

They’re playing pretty well, but let’s be honest they were gifted that win. The deciding call was an absolute shocker - parra player didn’t even touch any part of his head. Without that, they lose by 2.

Do what we did against the Raiders, stop offloads and second phase and we shut down a lot of what they do. We need to physically punish them and not let them get a role on.

2v3, did anyone expect that? I wouldn't make a big thing out of that during the week, just concentrate on what to do to beat the Tigers. But it is a great start for both sides.
I just watched the mini after being at the ground yesterday. I heard vossy pick up on the 2v3 thing. Great minds...

If Brown is back, Sharpe to centre/fullback, Hunt to the other, Brown 7, Smith 6.

If Brown isn't back, WDC/McCarthy/Schiller centre, and leave as is.

I think we'll win the middle battle. Terrell May & Alex Twal were the only Tiger's forwards to run 100m today... They get all of their yardage from their back 5, and shutting them (and Doueihi) down out wide will be essential for a win.

It's going to be a tough game. Anyone else going down for it?
