NRL Round 26 - Knights Vs Titans - 2:00pm Sunday 1st September - McDonald Jones Stadium

Lefty

Danny 'Bedsy' Buderus
After playing some excellent football against the Rabbitohs, our next home game is against the 13th placed Titans.

AOB needs to tell the team to keep playing attacking football and try to ‘blow’ the Titans away.

KPP is in surgery on a large leg laceration, so he will be unable to play and Friz may be out because of concussion, we may need 2 more forwards. Hopefully Su’a will not be suspended.

I reckon Frizz could challenge his grade 1 HIA.
My understanding is that you need a neurologist to clear you, but I think he only got grade 1 because he stayed down to get a penalty and he didn't look that bad.

I think you can challenge if you’ve never had concussion before. If my memory serves Friz won’t be so lucky.

It depends where KPP got cut.
If it's somewhere that will open up again, like on a joint or muscle, he probably needs to let it heal, but if it's somewhere you strap up well, he probably could play.

If we leave our injured out, Tuala, Best, Frizell, KPP and Hastings on the outer my side for next week is,
Ponga, Sharpe, Gagai, Lucas, Marzhew, Pryce, Cogger, DanS, Crosslands, Thompson, Croker, JonesB, Elliott,
Bench - Brailey, Hetherington, Su’a, Cant.
Consider McCarthy for Lucas to 2nd row with JonesB to bench and Cant 18th

KPP’s slowed down statistically as the year has gone on but his defensive work has remained very strong. Not a lot of guys could stop Talakai when caught one on one flat footed on the try line like he was last week.
Not a revolutionary take but I'm entirely convinced everything that has gone downhill for him is immediately fixed if we put him on the right.

I just don't know what set of circumstances is going to force AOB to put him there.

Stats for reserve grade are in.
Hastings has been making 25 runs for 200+ metres and topping the tackle count in recent weeks.
This week he had 5 runs for 16 metres and made 10 tackles.

Riley Jones playing 5/8 topped the fantasy points with 63 - 136 run metres and 23 tackles at 100% efficiency.

Souths hooker Ryan Gray got 106 fantasy points and topped every stat in a losing side - hell of a game.

Tom Cant with 219m wearing the 13.
Do you know if he played lock?

Well he's listed as playing lock for 80 minutes, but Ron doesn't mind moving guys around during the game - seems to love it in fact.
I noticed Kyle McCarthy only played the first 40 minutes and was replaced by Temple Kalepo - so I wouldn't be surprised if Cant went to centre and Kalepo went to lock.
