NRL Round 26 - Knights Vs Titans - 2:00pm Sunday 1st September - McDonald Jones Stadium

Can the Dolphins kick field goals? Coz we sure as hell can't. A draw is definitely possible from our pov if it goes to golden point. :(
That’s one more reason as to why I hate golden point. Not only is it a kick to the guts for one team to lose after coming to a draw after 80 minutes, but the Knights absolutely suck at winning in GP.

We’d surely have the worst record in the competition, yeah?

I'd say we haven't gotten one since Pearce?

I looked this up after the Sharks debacle. We are second worst only behind the Tigers. 19 games, 3 wins, 4 draws and 12 losses.

So our top try scorers for 2024

10 Fletcher Sharpe
8 Dane Gagai
7 Bradman Best, Greg Marzhew
6 Dylan Lucas
5 Davie Armstrong
Fletcher Sharpe also scored 9 tries in 8 games of Reserve grade and Flegg - so his season tally is 19 tries in 18 games so far.
Davie Armstrong has 18 tries in 17 games across the grades.

We did win in Golden point last year's finals v the Raiders didn't we? Although I think that was from a penalty from memory. Good one to win.
Technically wasn’t Golden Point because finals is extra time. I think I’d take that one win over all the GP losses too!

I would like to give David Armstrong a go on the wing instead of Marzhew. He has some very poor defensive reads and shows little interest in chasing down anyone who breaks through the defense, not to mention Armstrong is way quicker and can catch a bomb

Marzhew offers too much for our team. Carries are always huge, always finds a way to earn us a couple penalties a game out of our own end because teams are struggling to contain him. Kinda feel for him that he has received zero ball this season in attacking shape, he works his *** off for us coming off our line.

Brodie Jones has weathered the storm here well. All his close mates he played here with have moved on but he’s stuck it out and beefed up this year. I was watching him in the background yesterday and I like his attitude. One play in particular he was watching what was happening and then started bolting in support before anything was on and I think if they put the ball on his chest he blasts through for an easy try. But he went back, lined up and did it all over again. No dawdling with hands on hips crap or punching the air like a sook. He’s a proper troop and has come a long way.
