NRL Round 15 - Knights Vs Roosters - 5:30pm Saturday 14th June - McDonald Jones Stadium

In Tyson’s long career no one has ever said anything bad about him, they always say he is a nice guy that likes to help the new guys, Croker said he helped a lot when he first broke into the first team.
Does me screaming “**** you are 31 how can you still not run a good line yet?” at my tv count?

Ok if Hastings is in hopefully it is replacing Cogger with Sharpe staying at 6, if Ponga in SOO then Votano to F/b.
Or is the thought Frizell is out then we can play Hastings?

I really think someone has put 2 and 2 together and come up with 5 over this one … if Frizell wasn’t concussed we’d still be just as thin in the halves and Hastings would almost be a must play. And as someone else said he was 18th man on Thursday and could easily have come on the field then.

Also he’s just not that good? If we were keeping Nathan Cleary out of FG I’d buy into the conspiracies, but even though I’m one of the biggest Cogger detractors around, even I can see that Hastings wouldn’t be making a big difference. Also Gamble has always been first choice and to me he is a better option to Hastings. Yes it could be argued that Hastings would be the better second choice to Cogger, and maybe a culmination of his fight with Pryce and the WAGs drama played into the decision a little bit, but my god it would have been splitting hairs.

If Hastings could legitimately improve the side he’d he in there, regardless of an alleged (that has zero proof btw) drama between his and Frizz’ misses.

When sides are struggling it’s easy to look at other players and times with rose coloured glasses as a coping mechanism (“if we brought Hastings back everything would be better”) but Hastings isn’t good enough that he would have improved our situation this year with the significant injury crisis and coaching issues. He was horrible in FG last year and hasn’t been playing great in cup. It’s just re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

If Hastings is playing, he is playing for someone to sign him next year.
He'll have the game of his life.
When he was dropped to reserve grade last year he played out of his skin for 3 or 4 weeks. His stats were crazy - topping every stat.
He has just been going through the motions recently, but he'll be MOTM or die trying, just to prove to whoever is watching that he's worth a contract.

This is exactly why I worry about Hastings being included.

He’s previously had the tendency to do the play that’s going to prop up his stats or get a highlight for social media. There’s a big chance that will be a big focus for him as he’s playing for a contract somewhere that’s not the Knights.

The reason we played so well in the second half on Thursday as it was a whole team effort. Nobody trying to be the star, just all running up and supporting each other. If Hastings comes in we need to make sure he’s playing the team game, not going for the wrong plays to highlight himself.

Am I the only one who thought Munster was way worse than DCE in game 1?
I think it has a bit to do with Anaster as well.
If Slater drops Munster he would be crucified on 360 all week, then even worse after they lose.

After game one Braith was ripping into Grant for a poor game and trying to blame the loss on him, not much was said about Munster.

Anyway all this is good for a NSW fan.

just looking at some states to my surprise our tackle efficiency isn’t to bad. some weeks looks like teams just stroll up the park or cross for points with out a hand laid on them .however i think our scramble defence is as honest as it comes hence our good points against stat .but our competition rate is terrible a good 7 to 10 % behind the majority of teams . The roosters are equal with us on this stat hopefully this weekend we can address that and we should be able to roll them
