Article in the Herald says Jones injured his toe - presumably why he played so few minutes.
 
Liam Sutton very close to a ticket on the cowboys flight. I hope he gets a start up and proves we should have saved some dollars somewhere! He’s been impressive. We let him go because? Good recruiting!!

100% in the first trial game he got the most fantasy points for cowboys, when they beat the bulldogs... seems to be pretty decent defensively as well

so many of the guys who are our best in reserves for a few years in a row like Hosking, Talty, Sutton, Riley Jones, Chris Randall etc go to a new level at other clubs.
Sutton is still pretty young. He played Flegg alongside Cant and Donoughue and Mitch Henderson etc.
 
Manuleleua is something of a wild card for us. Coming into this season he was still considered a speculative prospect. He seems to have transformed into a real option for our FG forward pack.

At 186cm and 110kgs, there's no reason he couldn't play in the middle at some point. But given how gifted he is he could be a serious factor for us on a edge at some point.

By the end of the season if he and Hopwood come along our pack might be looking deep and talented

mid season even.

If we have Manu, Hopwood, Crouch and ESL as regular contributors to FG and performing well, then the investment into Juniors a couple years ago is already providing proffit, let alone McEwen and Sharpe already team starts and beginning their rep honors too.

Funny how they all danced around the question. The more it goes on the more I think it’s a ploy from Hollbrook so cows don’t know who to prepare for who plays where!?

But they will have to name the team on Tuesday before the game.
 
A whole preseason of acting clueless just to trick a fellow bottom eight team in round one would be quite the strategy. Maybe hoping the other teams don’t watch either so it keeps working afterwards?

If Holbrook has a master plan behind all of this he’s doing a very good job at hiding it.
