After watching the auckland nines what's everyone's thoughts on seeing 5 games on one day for one particular round per season? Would obviously have to be on a Sunday in June or July as the weather would be alot cooler but If promoted well I reacon it could be a real goer, especially for people throwing bbqs.
Here's an example
Friday night 7:30pm Dragons vs Roosters (win jubilee)
Saturday night 7:30pm Bulldogs vs Tigers (Anz stadium)
Sunday morning 10am (12pm nz) Warriors vs panthers (Mt smart)
Sunday noon 12pm Storm vs Eels (Aami park)....this would work well if there's an afl game at 2:10pm at the mcg
Sunday afternoon 2pm Raiders vs Manly (Canberra stadium)
Sunday afternoon 4pm (2pm Perth) Rabitohs vs Broncos....live game on nine for this game.
Sunday night 6pm Knights vs Cowboys (Hunter stadium)
Monday 7pm Titans vs Sharks (Skilled park)
So basically 5 games in 5 different cities, and 4 daylight matches in the period of the season which is normally the most cold.

By the way the a-league done a marathon a season or 2 back
