Im loving everyone writing us off, no expectations. Worst case everyones right we get beat and patted on the back for making a run into the finals, on the other hand we beat them and everyone has egg on their face, the cows get exposed as flat track bullies and we likely roll down to allianz vs a beatup sharks outfit who are still trying to figure out why they cant get it done in september.

What’s giving me the most hope is how co didn’t every member is with there D and the guy next to him. Dolphins game was best it’s been. Just feels like the guys are really enjoying the dirty stuff and ready to pin each team into the corner.

Been mentioned whether to bring Gamble back in. He was great few weeks back before hand break, but Cogs and Crossy doing plenty of good work executing simple game plan to perfection.
Also Crossy edge defence has been superb, his cover tackles have been instrumental in outside D to cover overlaps and use sideline well.

Humidity and ball control will be everything, not the type of game you want to have poor discipline creep back in and poor balll control. Keep that to a minimum and control the ruck will go a long long way.

A flight to Townsville isn’t a trip to London and the 6 day turnaround isn’t as painful at the end of the season as it is at the start. The guys look fresher now than they did at the same point last year. Anything is possible.

Well I’m just south of Bundaberg and it was nearly 30 in the shade here today. I’d hate to think what another 11.5 hrs North feels like let alone play in it so I’d say heat and humidity is a fair assessment. The guys will have their work cut out so they will just have to do some serious homework and maybe do all their training this week in a sauna

Makes me wonder what was going on earlier in the year when he couldn’t get basic stuff right. It’s turned out to be a good signing given Jackson’s quick transformation from Mr Unselfish in 2023 to Slower Mitch Ballhog Pearce in 2024, and Gamble’s injury issues (and let’s say inconsistent skill execution).

I believe that the crap going on behind the scenes at training was unsettling the guy. Probably second guessing a move from the best team on the planet to walking straight into a b!tchfest where egos and extra competition for spots were messing with his head. Honestly don’t think that it’s a coincidence that since Hastings hasn’t been on the scene everyone has lifted.

He created both our tries though. Think you’ve got to take the rough with the smooth with him. Not a lot of other weapons in the side apart from our centres.

Exactly what I want him doing, creating points in good ball. Him kicking last tackle options or getting in at first receiver in yardage is not what I want him doing. Our forwards are walking thin and not getting back onside quick enough. Only Brodie Jones seems good enough in that regard.

Its good fun not good enough to come to japan just for the wave pool but if you are ever heading to japan and you like surfing definately check it out its pretty short can only get 2 turns in probaly 3 if your a ripper.

It’s kind of where I’m at. There’s always an ambush in NRL Finals and I feel like Knights are primed against a team who have had it easy last few weeks. Knights will have to execute it perfectly and not tire at any point and let Cows get momentum. But the confidence in team feels primed to annoy the **** out of an overconfident Cowboys team prone to mistakes.

I really don’t miss him chiming in after any loss to any team to give us his run down on how if we just try harder and played more like the cowboys then we wouldn’t be in this mess. Then radio silence after every win unless it was to point out all the mistakes we made or 50/50 calls we shouldn’t have gotten because the cowboys are awesome.
