If Cogger does a full pre-season training with the side as starting 7 he will form combinations and be better than he is now.

I don't have the same hope for Pryce that other's have, but if he can be the player hoped for and work with Cogs for the next 4 months - 7 Cogs, 6 Pryce could be a pretty dynamic halves pairing,

Like another poster has mentioned it was probably the worst pass to throw at a player running at pace. Even if he caught it he was off balance reaching for the ball. The play would’ve broken down as Gagai tries to regather his stride. I’m not going to blame KP as it was a tired pass from a player that tried do everything in that game.
 
Finished watching game last night live, so disappointed just toddled of to bed, been reflecting on game this morning and reading all your comments, the good the bad and the ugly.
Thought at half time we were going well, playing strong but then things turned and we struggled along with some errors we came up short. Our back five all played well, Gags not so much, Cogger and Crosslands ok but lack that edge in attack, Crosslands defence was strong, pack including bench forwards was a bit disappointing with Brailey alright and thought Jones was the best, Gamble tried hard, should have scored under the posts but didn’t get the ball.
Overall it was a frustrating season of never quite getting it right and lacking a bit more assistance for Ponga

My biggest gripe earlier was changing things up a bit too often but have felt more content with the same guys even if it is Cogger/Crossland. I guess the competition for starting halves goes back to the pre-season and see who gets the starting spots and maybe a bench spot.
As AOB mentioned losing Ponga for 11 weeks and Best for several hasn't helped amongst others but they've made do and didn't give up on the season which is what I'm most proud of.
It enabled them to unearth some talent which has been exciting to see as well
On the flip side apart from missing the first game we got the healthiest version of Brailey this season as well which seems about right going into a contract year and open to test the market on Nov 1 as well lol.

We have a lot of good young ones in Jye Linnane, Haami Loza etc, but only Liam Sutton and maybe Jye Linnane could have a great pre-season and be a chance at firstgrade.
Both are more suited to be running 5/8s - both livewire running halves with some kicking skills.
Loza looks like he'll be a clever, organising halfback, but he played Mathews in 2023 and Ball and Flegg this year - he is at least 3 or 4 years away from firstgrade (or 2 years if he is as talented as Fletcher Sharpe).
The only organising half we had, Mitch Henderson, is doing very well in Flegg and reserve grade for Canberra right now.
In fact, Mitch Henderson is number 7 for Canberra in the reserve grade semi Final v Penrith today.

Very slim chance of any of these starting as our 7 in 25 it seems. Likely to be 6. Gamble 7. Cogger.

If Blocker/Vossy/Hooper are on any games with the option of watching on Ch9 then Ch9 is an auto watch for me.

As depressing as it is, four finals appearances in five seasons compared to two in the last decade which I'll take rather then knowing we aren't playing finals football midway or a third of the way through the season.
In the 2000s it was five and should have been a few more if it wasn't for Joeys injuries but I do feel like the club is headed in the right direction.

I will say, their consistency this decade to make the finals has at least give them some credibility, between 2002-2019 they were the most embarrassing team in the league, especially when you consider the talent they've had during that time & not just in the Johns' era.
 
Also, I think 2009 and 2011 could've been very interesting had the finals system been as it is now. Both those teams were offensive dynamos who just got the wrotten luck of the silly 1v8 2v7 system.

I was 20… 2 trades, 7 towns and 2 kids ago. My oldest gets her P’s in 8 weeks.
You could say it’s a lifetime since they won a comp

I was there in person, with my father surrounded by rabid knights fans, would love to experience that feeling one more time in my life at least lol.
I'll always remember, at half time I turned around and there was a row of Parra fans sitting behind me, absolutely dumbstruck, all holding the same full beer they'd had since kick-off.
When Simpson made that ridiculous try saving tackle in the first half, i just knew they were going to win from that point.
