If we could move on as many of our middles we like and sign someone else, who would you keep?

Our lack of genuine middle forwards playing in Cup highlights our inability to replace out of form or lazy performances. Jenkins, Burgess and Cant, starters in Cup yesterday, are not good enough or ready for 1sts meaning we are stuck with what is being selected.
Suggest might be better selecting Friz as prop, 2nd row either 2 of Lucas, Fitz and Croker and rotate one of DSaf, JSaf and Hetherington to Cup, retain Thompson and Elliott. Avoid the rotation by performing strong in 1sts or poorly in Cup.

This is the big problem and something that is often lost when it is suggested to drop a Saf to cup in order to uphold standards. All well and good in theory but when the cup side is running dead last all season and nobody is sticking their hand up such a move would do more harm than good.

Personally would've debuted Talty as he'd consistently performed over a few years at cup level without reward but that's off the table now. Didn't have time to watch the cup game yesterday but I'll probably have a look today, would imagine Toleafoa and Cant are probably the next two in with a chance as middles.

Edit: Johns as a middle being the another option but he appears down the pecking order for some reason.

I went the generic Leo and Crocker, but also opted to keep Johns and Jones provided we had a new coach that could get the potential out of them. They could potentially be solid budget first graders in the right hands
