Michael Hagan & Eels

I didnt! I actually loved it... it sounds bad but ermm its what we needed.

And I understood what he was doing, which alot of others didnt. (Not on here, just in general)

Like that 9 year old girl who's mummy and daddy got her to write a hate letter. What a low act!

Personally I didn't like it, though at the same time I realised it needed to be done.

I think I was more sceptical of whether it would make a change, after the first two trials against Warriors and Sharks respectively, I was convinced we had a pretty good side.

I think he was pretty much supported. Although a few wanted Andrew Johns to take over as coach?

Definitely I supported him all the way. He did what had needed to be done for about the last four or five years.

And the thing is BS will keep it up, obviously we wont need to go on a big recruiting spree for the at least the next 5-10 yrs, but BS will keep a constant flow of young talent coming through and he wont be afraid to show the door to people who arnt performing and arnt in his plans.

If the Parra team had the passion and loyalty of their fans they'd be getting beaten by alot more than they are now

For example, just dumping Vuna like he did. Seems unfair, but he aint afraid to do it!

Lets see if Hagan gets rid of Hayne and Burt like he said he would.

makes you think, how much better of a side we would have been 2001, 2002 and 2006 if we had a better coach, UNSTOPABLE i reckon

I wonder how Rip Taylor is going down there (if he is still there) could he be in line for a coaching role? He was good with the 2006 Jersey Fleg IIRC, or maybe it was just because it was an awsome side, i dunno

Same. But when at school and stuff, everyone would say Smith is killing Newie etc. He did what had to be done. Get rid of the players - who relied too much on Johns.

Is he coach of NYC? If so, they are in the top 4 I think comfortably. He would most likely take over if Hagan went mid season.

I totally agree with Knight-no-7 it had to be done, as much as we hated it we were gonna struggle without Johns anyways! anyways this year again our away record has been better 4/4 & I'm sure we can beat Cronulla because of the pattern & their crap performance 2nite.

When Smith got rid of most our team i didn't like it at all because it was such a big change, but now i can see he did the right thing & im glad he made the changes, it was just tough seeing him let so many go cause your use to watching them play same guys play but then i realise this year how much better our squad is because those guys have gone.
