Mamo & Feeney

No one has said they're "high rollers" but they're definitely on more than fringe first grade money
We are spending less than any other club, and they are well in the lower half of our players - so any way you do the sums - they are on fringe money.

Salaries are usually inflated in the media, i know for a fact Stockwell is not on 350k for next year as was reported

Still does not change the fact their on more money than the club can afford to pay players on fringe money if we want to be competitive. Hopefully having offload some players and not paying a few other players at rival clubs we can bring in some establish players to fill out our squad but I doubt we will really see much improvement till 2018 and we move on guys like Mamo who are just not cut out to be NRL players.

Billy the fact we are spending less than any other Club is because we have no top quality players. Hence 16th out of 16 tells its own story.

My point exactly.
Our lower payed players are getting the sort of money that reserve graders at the richest clubs (who spent up to 40% more than us in 2016) are being paid.
The argument is that we could sack those guys and use their money to sign better players - but their money buys reserve graders or fringe firstgraders - which is not an upgrade.

IF the NRL allow us a full salary cap for 2017 confident things will improve. How much we have been in debt to them and how much is still outstanding after deductions from 2015/16 salary caps is so closely guarded, even the Chinese hackers who refularly breach our Defense Department codes and firewalls cannot find out!

Well Lord the dogs in RL Central are barking $2m off in each of '15/16. Which would have given us maybe 60-66% each of the last two years and not a TPA in sight?

I'm willing to give Feeney another season or 2.
There's a footballer in there. He has more going for him than Mamo that's for sure.

Maybe he has 2 left feet 88. I think we tried the fullback thing although if he can be confident catching high balls under pressure I'd persist a little longer but God he is hopeless right now.

Problem is we already have 4 halves signed long term ahead of Feeney. If we could ditch hodko he's worth keeping around in reserve grade

Well Leigh Centurians, led by Cory Paterson, have beaten Huddersfield overnight, meaning Leigh have earned promotion to the ESL next season (having beaten 3 ESL sides), and Huddersfield are fighting with Salford and Hull KR to see who gets relegated.
Paterson scored a try to give him 16 tries from his 18 games for Leigh, and he has only lost one game since joining them.

If Huddersfield drop out of the ESL, they won't be buying anyone.
