He wouldn't defend at hooker, just give some spark around the ruck but yeah either way. I'm glad he'll be in the team.

Prob get flamed for this, I would have Roberts at 6. Mullen promises every yr, great defence last yr but not consistent enough in attack.
 
I wouldn't be against it Singo. But would rather stick with the Mullo Roberts combo and get gids to training at 9.

I know he's only a rookie but Roberts went missing in attack far more than Mullen did last year.
 
Roberts time will come, he has alot to prove still. I just think when Kurt is at hooker he has his hands on the ball to much and is trying to hard. Kurt needs to be out there for 80, not rotating with Buderus.

Won't be as much pressure playing outside Gidley, plus a lot easier when we are winning this yr. He will get his turn.

I have to disagree with you there mate. I know Mullen ain't perfect, but he can at least control a game with his long kicking game. Gidley can't run the show on his own yet which means Roberts would be under a lot more pressure to perform
 
Replace Mullen for Roberts? The style of footy that Bennett has us playing means all Mullen has to do is pass to Boyd or Scott at the right times which will create tries. He isn't a freak that can dominate a game consistently like Thurston. Mullen is just crap at creating repeat sets, get someone else to do that but dropping Mullen is a dumb idea.
