Knights in danger of losing Natusch

Sign Timmy and McDonnell. I doubt McDonnell would want to stay though. He's already said that he wants to play first grade fullback, and he knows that Kurt is in front of him here. However if he doesn't get any other decent offers (which is possible considering every side seems to have a decent fullback) he may just stay knowing that he'll get his shot when Kurt is on rep duties.

How has he been great? He is one of Smith's favourites and gets a bench spot yet does nothing? What position does he even play? He is crap at halves and we have one of the best backrows in the comp.

He is useless and has only been there due to injuries.

I agree with you GUNNERS i haven't seen this guy do much since he played for the knights . I have seen him make a few good runs and some good defence tackles , but at the end hes no impact player . I wanna see George Ndaira back on that bench .
 
Karawana is a solid player who almost always does his job makes tackles, makes a few hit ups and makes very few errors he's good for depth but if all players are fit he wouldn't get a run
 
agree mcdonnell has earned another contract cause wes is getting better as our utility player, and the other should natush just in front of ciraldo

Absolutely agree. Even with a full team id reckon hed still end up on the bench since hes a BS favorite. Brings nothing to the side... u can always tell hes on cos we suddenly lose all the momentum, actually, that may also be cos Fa'aoso comes off.
 
After next year we can let Maddog, Simmo and Cross go and that will get us loads of money to go after a specialist forward
 
Our team needs big boys, not the Karvin Marijuana's of the side, i reckon when we lose MacDougall and Simmo, we should go after Watmough and Glenn Stewart, theyd fit perfect in our team, especially Watmough.

if only...but seriously, which talented forwards have we signed with a view to replacing Simmo and Cross as a pack leader?...Parra got Poore and Shackleton...Souths got Taylor...all we seem to have done is re-sign what we already have
 
So because he isn't an attacking dynamo he is ****? Gee, guess we'd better go tell Hilder to **** off.

I'm putting that down to Newcastle not knowing for sure if Smith was going to be with the club next season. No point in splurging for players Smith wants when he may not be our coach next season... and as it turns out... he won't be.
 
I used to think Paleaesina would be a good buy a couple of years ago but I have not being following his progress in England much and when I saw him the other day on tv he looked the wrong side of 120kg.

A few years ago he would've been a decent buy IMO. Wasn't a bad impact player to have off the bench.

I've seen him play a few times over in the ESL and he looked pretty average... though I don't follow it closely enough to know what kind of football player he is these days.

I don't think we need to sign anyone new. We have a young group of players & at least one of them will develop into a "pack leader". Houston has had a small dose of Origin preparation, & if Paterson bounces back from his troubles then he is likely to play rep footy at some stage. Hopefully we'll gain some Finals experience this season also.

I'd rather develop what we've already got than introduce someone new into the team.
