Knight 374?

[Billy]

Toby Winter became Knight 373 in round 24, 2026.
Who will be our first debutant in 2027?

[Matty James]

It’ll be Marata or Diesel.

Kepaoa if we’re really up shyte creek.

The other 5-6 still way too inexperienced.

[Celticman98]

No one will debut for 2027 and it'll be Harry Grant in 2028.

Just kidding it'll be Marata Niukore.

I'd be surprised if Niukore isn't in the 19 for round one. Whether he gets on the field is another question but he's the safest bet.

Hagan is a Crossland/Graham injury away.

I can see Kepaoa being in the 19 because he covers wing, centre, lock and second row.
I think he only made the 19 once in 2026 because of that long suspension he served.
He has 42 games of firstgrade experience and when not suspended was pretty good in reserves.
In short, I think he'll get some minutes in 2027.

I could see that kind of positional flexibility being helpful on a 4 band bench but in today’s game it’s not needed. You would imagine that, out of Hunt and Winter, whoever doesn’t get Gags spot will cover centre, wing and full back. Second row will be covered by whoever doesn’t get selected out of Lucas, McEwen or Manu with Niakura and Cant providing coverage too.
