Details of match time vary where I’ve looked, Tele had Knights v silk tails 3pm Sat Cessnock.
Googled and had it playing Fri and further check 3pm today, Sun. Assume that’s right
 
Knights up 28-4 at halftime. Manuleleua the star so far, with supporting roles from the Hoad twins as per usual (3 tries between them). Won't get the benefit of a large portion of the fanbase overrating their "effort" because they aren't local juniors, but they won't need it. They are the personification of effort, with plenty of skill to go with it. Only question mark will be whether they can nail down one position, but I'd back Ayden over any of the potential utilities in the first grade squad (Gamble, Hunt) if we need a #14 next year.
 
We’re really good at beating the teams coming first. Be nice if we could beat the other teams too.
 
can someone tell me about the Hoad brothers, have seen their names mentioned a few times now but cant see much in the media/youtube sphere

Both very intelligent footballers who execute at a high rate of success. Not sure on contract tatus, but certainly hope to see some sort of extension by seasons end and into Cup next year.
 
Twin brothers. Profile says they were born in Canberra but are Wynnum-Manly juniors. They were with the Dolphins last year at least, so presumably O’Sullivan signed them originally and then brought them down here.

Sully arrived and started the year as a half but has played some fullback as well and seems to have settled at centre for now. Ayden is a hooker/lock/utility. Both are big effort players who don’t really stand out as athletes but have a knack for making big plays and scoring tries, and are tough and aggressive in defence. Don’t remember seeing either have a bad game yet.

Sully’s first try today was off a cross field kick, but they were in attacking position in the first place because his brother turned a Knights short dropout into a Storm dropout with his effort. Short dropout got batted back and was on the ground, Ayden beat everyone to the ball and booted it ahead twice all the way up field, a Storm player eventually got to it but were trapped in-goal and Sully scored in the next set. The other 2 tries were both just effort plays again - 2 dropped kicks that the Hoad’s beat everyone to.
 
thanks guys appreciate it. I thought POS type of player was big and athletic. Good to see he's open to all sorts of players
 
I think Dacre is as good at jumping for a kick in attack as anyone I've seen.
He must have played a lot of volleyball I think.
Most guys leap and get 1 hand to the ball and try to bat it backwards and hope.
Dacre leaps like an AFL player and gets two hands to it and controls the ball enough to land it right in the hands of a supporting player. He did it in this game and I'd say I've seen him do it 5 or 6 times in his limited games, and it pretty much always finds it's target.
 
11th placed Knights v 12th placed Manly about to kick off.

I notice Taj Blackman has been in the halfback role for the last few games and Ryder Williams seems to be gone. We were going pretty well with Williams I thought.
Anyway, we had our best win of the year last week with Blackman, so maybe we should have kept with him all along.
