It is going to be a very strong side once Ball concludes.

Add DeCourcey to the centres with McCarthy, Hunt to 5/8, McKewin to the second row, which will allow Harris back to the bench where he was impactful last season in Ball (he is the cousin of Penrith international front rower Fisher-Harris). There is also Malachi Smith.

It will be interesting whether Votano, Hopwood and Hilliar are considered for selection, as they would then be playing 3 years up (Fletcher Sharpe and Ethan Ferguson did it).

We seem to be following what Garth Brennan did a few years ago with players starting the season mostly in their age groups, so I'd expect guys like Bryan, Martin, McCarthy, Sutton etc will slip up to reserve grade after a few rounds and be replaced by guys like Hilliar, Hopwood, De Courcey and Hunt.

Tea-Rani has come from NZ Warriors ---> QLD CUP last season, so must be another from Dobson lookout. Lots of write up about him online, may not have clicked just yet. Kaliti was apart of the Roosters SG squad last couple years.

Lots of love for Jacob Davis signing last yr so we'll see what his potential is like. Considering Melachi Smith is doing great in SG

The issue there is that our depth is now superior to when Brennan was here. If there are no injuries in the NRL or Cup sides where do these opportunities present to promote the players you suggest. The Flegg boys will need to be playing consistently at their best to position themselves for promotion when opportunity does arise.

My reference to promoting the stand-out Ball players to Flegg was to replace players who don’t have the same potential to be good NRL players. Example over the past 2 years is Fletcher Sharpe. I believe this Ball side can produce more.

Well, I don't like to talk about injuries.
Nope - can't even bring my self to say something general, just in case.

Woodman Tuhoro with a great individual effort for his first. De Courcey does well to get to a grubber for his try (NSWRL site has credited it as Falemoe) and then puts Woodman Tuhoro over for his second with the offload. Otherwise all pretty soft tries through the middle.

Flegg game today has been postponed.
I suspect it's more about the Saints team having trouble travelling since the weather down there is still bad then us having a problem.

Few changes
Taj Blackman replaces Travis May at 5/8.
Jayden Harris replaces Falomoe at centre. Harris Played mostly second row in Ball last year, but also filled in at centre in a few games.
Pettet comes into the starting side for Whitby and Ridley joins the bench

3rd placed Knights v 4th placed Saints
Both sides have 3 wins and 1 loss.
Our loss was against 1st placed Canberra in Canberra.
Their loss was at home against us by 28 - 4 in round 2.

Harris came off the bench to play second row last year.
In the game he scored 4 tries I thought he was at second row, but by the 4th try it was clear he was playing centre that day.
