Jarrod Mullen says he will be back next week v Raiders

Couldn't help but laugh when I read that. Bloke last year, just after the Grand Final, before a ball was even kicked in the World Cup, said he's sticking with Pearce and Maloney. If he makes that call so early, it shows he's going to stick with them regardless of how well other players who deserve those positions just as much and in some cases, more. Unless either of them get injured, Mullen, Carney, Reynolds etc can forget about playing rep footy.
I'm just going by the article I read, I did not mean to be a comedian.

I seriously just hope Mullen doesn't do a Gids rush back early and do himself another mischief.

Its been Gids #1 play the last 4 seasons.

Last year when Gidley got injured it had nothing to do with him coming back too early, he injured his foot when his shoulder was the previous problem. I actually don't think we have had issues at all since Bennett has come to Newcastle.

Bennett has said he expects Mullen to be back in the next 2-3 weeks! Must be half bionic. It'd be great to have him and Boyd return together against the Sharks at home.

2-3 weeks? How is that even possible  he's a freak!

Freak. Absolute freak. Being a hamstring injury though, I hope this isn't him rushing it. His history obvious paints a pretty ****ing awesome picture, but it's an injury that has plagued player's seasons in the past, notably Hayne last year.

Praying that our best 17 will be able to step it up a notch when Mullen and Boyd return.

More than likely the truth wasn't put out there regarding the injury to start with. There are no short cuts if the muscle was torn from the bone as reported.

The guy was jogging a week after he did it.
After his injury they were talking 4 to 6 weeks.
He got a scan and whoever first read the scan said surgery and 16 weeks.
The specialist looks at the scan and called bull****.
I say the first call was right and the guy who read his scan first needs to go back to school.

Back in two-three weeks has been floating around.

Can't remember who said this on FoxtSports this week "don't back the Knights for the first five rounds then get on them".

Question has to be how desperate are we? After 0 and 3 I think we will be.

Desperate no doubt, and I'm sure they will do all the tests required, but proof is in the pudding that Mullen is key to our success this season and if he re tears it we'll be goooone. As long as he's back by rd 7 so we can beat the broncs at home I'll be happy,

Hoping he'll be back on Sunday. Playing the only other winless side. The Sharks will be desperate and they get Fifita back too.
