Reported on a podcast that Hastings has signed with an English Super League team effective immediately. I have been looking for stories about it this afternoon but not seen a thing. Anybody heard anything?

He is off-contract at the end of 2025.

It doesn't really say he is signed - it says Leeds wants to move Frawley on and make a play for Hastings - so not a done deal, but seems likely to me.

Babies can often handle air travel after like one week, with paediatrician sign off. I think 8 weeks is recommended usually though. Either way now the baby is born, travel is more feasible than it is for a heavily pregnant woman. Even if Jackson goes over now, his partner will only be a few weeks behind him at most.

Really hope we look at Niwhai Puru as his replacement. The best halfback in reserve grade at the moment and someone who splits the difference a bit between a young prospect (he's 23) with a lot of space to grow & a guy with experience against men under his belt who should be ready to do a job in first grade when needed immediately. I'm sure they have a lot of confidence in Fletcher but this hasn't stopped other clubs from having multiple good prospects and genuine competition for spots. I was impressed with him in the All Stars game, particularly his kicking game, which would immediately be the best at our club. He's a left footed 7 who always plays on the left, which can sometimes be hard to fit in to a side, but Brown is a right footed 6 who's equally good playing either side of the field, which is an under-remarked upon benefit of his signing.

Also gives you the inside track on signing his twin Hohepa, who for years has looked like a guy who'd be good enough for first grade but has been stuck behind studs (eg about ten guys in the Raiders pack, and now Cameron McInnes).

Think there is a rule/law that babies cannot travel within a specific period, before and after birth.
Also travelling overseas requires a passport.
Of course Jacko might go on his own, Partner and baby may follow weeks/months later.

Depends on the baby. You got lucky. My youngest wouldn’t got 2 hrs in a quiet house. But…. I still love her. Or atleast I tell myself so

Anyone that doesn’t take earphones on a flight should be investigated imo

Good idea, we have the player thread for Hastings, we can discuss his on field stuff or possible movement to another club there. Some of the stuff in this thread was bordering on slander, so I’ve removed it.
