PARRAMATTA are expected to announce the re-signing of star back Krisnan Inu at a news conference Tuesday .

A statement from the NRL club said it had called the conference for lunchtime Tuesday “regarding an announcement on the playing future of Krisnan Inuâ€.

The 20-year-old New Zealand international, off-contract after this season, had been one of the hottest players on the market.

He had reportedly fielded interest from the Sydney Roosters, the Bulldogs, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cronulla.

Inu burst into the NRL spotlight last year with his sublime skills at wing or centre helping him to 12 tries and 34 goals from his 18 games.

During 2007, the devout Mormon said he was considering taking two years out of the game to complete a religious mission but eventually changed his mind, believing his fame in football would be more helpful to his church.

In December, fellow star Jarryd Hayne said he had stayed at Parramatta for less money than that offered by rival clubs to help the Eels retain both he and Inu.

I dont know how they managed to keep em both even if Hayne did take a paycut... something shifty ;)

But its good for Parra, they need Inu if they are to do well this year, as everyone is predicting.

Sadly there's always the second-year syndrome. Happens to almost all these young players.

But they seem to be pretty skillful with the likes of Inu and Hayne so hopefully they'll overcome the curse.

PARRAMATTA has announced the re-signing of star back Krisnan Inu at a news conference.

The 20-year-old New Zealand international, one of the hottest players on the market, has signed a two-year extension to his contract.

Inu said he believed the club would be a strong contender for grand finals in the coming seasons after losing to eventual premiers Melbourne in last year's preliminary final.

He had reportedly fielded interest from the Sydney Roosters, the Bulldogs, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Cronulla.
