Hi,

Thought it was about time we had a thread in here to cover the premier league. It sounds like there are a few people who support English teams.

I’m a die hard Liverpool fan going back to the days of Kenny Dalglish, Alan Hansen and Graeme Souness.

As the Knights season has now finished (thankfully!) this should help pass the time until we get all excited again about preseason training (best preseason ever incoming) and our chances of making the 8 in 2026!
 
Everton. So funny I followed the club who basically had soccer’s version of AOB in Dyche lmao. Been so much more fun back under Moyes and that attacking midfield trio of Grealish/KDH/Ndiaye has looked so sexy so far. Would be cool for there to be two teams on Merseyside playing scintillating attacking football!

My in-laws are all Everton season ticket holders who hate the reds with a passion. Makes for fun conversation over the dinner table! 😜

Grealish is a good acquisition. He could be the catalyst for a season that means everyone is looking up the table not behind them at the relegation zone.
 
Cracking set of results for Liverpool this weekend! Beating the dirty Blues (Everton) on Saturday without the need for any late goal scoring heroics and then all our closest rivals drew. 8 points ahead of City after 5 games is crazy. 🤩

A long season ahead though and we still need to see new signing settle in.

Talk about big club bias, Jack Grealish is still picking bits of boot out of his shins, Liverpool spend the entire second half time wasting with referee collaboration (Toffees booked for “taking a free kick too quickly”, have never ever seen that in my life) and then… 3 mins of stoppage time?

Enjoy the “win” of needing that much help.

Can’t seem to catch a break atm. Frustrating morning.

Doku looked like he had the ball on a string this morning. Dribbling into congested areas and the ball ricocheting everywhere only to fall perfectly back into his path. Frustrating.

I think the cameras made Robertsons involvement in VVD’s header look worse than what it was. The angle the ball is coming in, I don’t think Donnarumma is obscured too much. There’s a bit of inconsistency with those types of calls. 50-50. He is in the vicinity though, so I can understand, but could have gone either way.

Konate needed 1cm more to defend Haalands header. Should be defending that better though imo.
VVD sticking out a lazy foot to deflect in.

Doku’s goal was classy.

Onto yet another break.
