English Recruits Watch

Would be really good to get him now and him acclimatized and experience a bit of NRL before the preseason.
Then he should hit the ground running in 2024.

Good performance from Will in a narrow 14-12 loss to St Helens. Try assist and was very busy and involved.

Some strong tackle 2/3 runs too, definitely think he would make a good centre if we don’t have a spine spot for him.

On early season form St Helens will struggle to make it 5 in a row. If I was a betting man I’d be on Warrington.

On current form super league defences are really struggling to deal with the ex-NRL players in their pack. So much space for their spine players, George Williams a great shot to finally win MoS. Guess we’ll learn more when they play Saints, Wigan and Catalans.

Watching to game now.
Pryce does look good at the back where he can choose when to inject himself and has a nice short kicking game.

He will fit in well here with his kick off out on the full lol.

Think we will be doing ok if KPP and Pryce are ready for 1sts after 5-6 weeks, acclimatise, settle, fit in, extra training all this will take time. They may not adapt to change of conditions and being away from home. I hope they adapt quickly and at least put pressure on others for a place.

Pryce played fullback and had a nice little flick pass in the lead up to a try but then was taken off injured soon after, not sure how serious.

Wigan vs St Helens on TV at midnight tonight. Don't really know if/where KPP will be playing until an hour before but he started at centre last week.

Kpp played right 2nd row.
His defence was good.
His kick chase is great and he is normally the first man there.
When he runs he keeps the arm free and often looks to offload (would be good if Miller can follow him).
He has a nice flick pass.
He is a good target for kicks near the line.

Poor Sione had a massive KO, his 2nd in his past 2 games.

Yeah he definitely needs to add a bit more weight.
Maybe core strength is the area he needs to improve. Runs much like Dom did when he got here, chest too upward. If he gets his stance down into contact and drive through the core he will be much better.

Yeah he’ll need time. There are definitely aspects of his game which work in the Super League but won’t here.

I remember in some interview he said he planned to add 10kg of muscle before playing in the NRL so I’m sure it won’t come to a surprise to him when he’s put through a pretty intense regime to get him ready to play over here.
