The book my uncle gave me years ago that got me hooked. Perfect time for some light reading ahead of sunday.

Back In the good ol' days where advertising from Winfield was all the rage.

[Nuke]

I love that book. I have that -somewhere- too.

The Herald today has an 8 page wraparound with a fullpage frontpage photo of Bradman Best and the headline "The Best is yet to come". The team photo looks out of date already with Kobe Rugless, Chris Vea'ila, Bailey Hodgson etc.

Canberra to be 'peaking' for do-or-die final: Elliott

Elliott faces his former club in the elimination final on Sunday.

www.newcastleherald.com.au

Article where Elliott says Canberra will "peak" in this game and points to Canberra upsetting Melbourne in Melbourne in the first final last year. Says Ricky will be reving them up with "us against the world" message and they'll throw everything they have at us.

Will be an interesting game. In the first game against them without Ponga we completely outmatched them physically. I remember at the time never remembering a game where we just rolled through a team like that. Second time around was more of an attacking onslaught.
Hopefully tomorrow we see a focus on the power game as looking at the Raiders team I don’t think they have the explosiveness to go with us.

And Obrien should likewise be revving them up with they are coming here to take whats ours, embarrass us in front of 30,000 of our fans.

I'm in Greece, woe is me.

Clune & Lucas remain on extended bench with 1-17 unchanged. Miller, Tuala, Jones gone.

Interesting. They could still rest Ponga. Gagai could play fullback and Lucas could play centre.

[Frank McWilliams]

Yes but no Miller and increases chances of Ponga playing

[mozza]

Either way it’s a relief that Miller has dropped out.

They would've played enari in the centre before lucas

Yeah once Miller dropped out it's a lock.

Clune for Hastings, Ponga playing, Lucas 18 is my thinking
