'Doomsday Document' maps NRL survival

I was at my kids school watching my little 5 year old daughter sing at her parade,And they called this guy from ozkick(Afl)up on stage to tell the kids about afl.

He pulled out a bag full of afl merchandise and said for 50 dollars you can have this afl bag, drink bottle,an afl lunch box shaped like an afl ball,A ticket that gets you into afl games for free....And to my surprise all the kids in the hall got excited about it :fist:.

Then he went on to tell all the kids male and female if they want to play afl they had to meet him down on the oval after school every afternoon until the end of the week,Where they can all learn to play the game. This is a queensland school that has there own rugby league team:confused:

I was not impressed as you could imagine,But what i did notice was how the afl market to kids,And that is very impressive. They have it all over the nrl in marketing, and how they are going about selling afl to our kids.David gallop and the nrl better pull there finger out, or rugby league could be in real trouble.:brickwall:Cheers rabs1

I dont follow you with context, I just dont think theres any point to having three games if its won by the second game, its not good for the clubs especially who have to give their players up for a game that doesn't mean that much.
And if you only have two games then you would be having a lot of draws, so I thought this way would solve the problem, and have a clear winner after two games.
My bad, I thought you means have only 2 games. I agree with you then, if the series is won after 2 games, ending it there isn't a bad idea (injuries wise). However the 3 game series has been a tradition, dunno if they'll change that.

edit: you did kinda mean that  haha. I'd stick with 3 games, unless it's 2-0 after 2 games.

No just 2 games, with a points continuation, team with the most points at the end wins the series.

Well the trouble is with that 2 game idea is that the stadium kinda needs to be booked earlier than whatever the second game will be due to tickets etc. Ticket sales for Origin are usually always sorted really really early.

As for the new club, I agree with the NZ as a priority. There's so many kiwis playing in Australian teams, a new NZ will mean that most will be able to stay in their home country to play NRL football rather than travel to Australia to get picked because there aren't enough Warriors spots.
