Anthony Laffranchi got above his eye cut open tonight, he was off for most of the game. He got it taped, and returned to the field. Wasnt on for long, he took a run close to the line.

Gallen give the head/face area where the cut was a massage, to have all the stiches come undone and Laffranchi's eye bled and he was out for the rest of the game.

Is he just the dirtiest player going around?

Deadset the only time Im gonna like the bloke is when hes doing it to QLDers!

I thought it was such a low act, and all he got was a penalty against him.

Laffranchi's battle with Gallen began in the ninth minute when the backrower suffered a nasty gash in a head clash with the Sharks skipper.

He bravely came back heavily bandaged but earned no favours from Gallen who pushed into Laffranchi's head in a 68th minute tackle that earned the ire of referee Jason Robinson.

Gallen's actions reopened Laffranchi's head wound, forcing the workhorse off the field for good.

I just saw that incident on the footy show... anyone recokon there will be any furthur action. Penalty was the right decision. If it was more eye gouging, he could be looking at a few weeks.

I guess its probably cause not every single player is running around with bandaged stitches in their head.
