The Knights are said to be on the look out for a forward who won't eat into a stretched salary cap too much, and Laurie could be that player. After 3 or 4 games in the local comp Daine remains on the Knights radar for season 2012.
 
They have Snowden, Tuimavave, Fa'aoso, Kaufusi, Tolar as well as Edwards and Tetevano. Even a couple of our backrowers can play there. How many more do they want.
 
This has been spoken about, but realistically will Bennett want a trouble maker? I'm not too sure what he's done in the past I haven't looked to far into it. I can't see Bennett wanting him too much, I'm sure he could be a great buy.

Definatly a rocks or diamonds player.
 
Didnt know where else to post this but since we're talking about players in the Newcastle comp, I read somewhere Riley Brown has joined Cessnock and Chris Armit is in talks with Wyong.

I wouldnt mind signing Laurie on a min contract, I think everyone thought he'd be a star but after the injury and off field incident he's never really been given another chance

Yeah under strong guidance could well prove himself. I thought penrith were abit harsh in sacking him to be honest.

Riley brown would add some value to the squad we need some more dummy halves
