I think that they could have won it by more, they didnt capitalise on their chances, maroons unlucky to have so many injuries.

I think this is a new era for the blues gallen, bird and hoffman were outstanding, thats my backrow for next year, cooper and hayne were always dangerous, and once again NSW looked lost when bedsy came off the field, Gidley had a slow start but was punchin the holes at the end when he was playing 1/2back instead of hooker.
 
I thought Buderus was man of the match.

Got no respect for Gallen and Bird, hope that is the last origin game they play.
 
they are very arrogant, but when they are on the team i am supporting it is all good and entertaining to watch but if it was against the knights i would get pissed off at them, hodges is another player like them, its always good to see him loose.

Another thing i noticed was that when ever smith had the ball buderus would try his hardest to put a big hit on him, that is the best rivalry in the game atm, good to watch, i still think buderus is a better allround player, he seems to lead the team a lot better and gives them a boost when he is on the field.
 
Gallen and Bird were great! Which was surprising to me..

Yeh Buderus was outstanding, probably outplayed Smith I thought, but Smith was better in 1 and 2. Only cause Buderus was playing with a bit of an injury apparently..
 
Yeah I was disapointed when Buderus wasn't man of the match because I thought he was the best. It was a pretty good effort all round. I think Bird had a good game but not as good as bedsey. Finally had a little bit of biff lol, loved it.
 
Yeh and both teams finally decided to throw some risky passes.
Much better game than the other two!
 
If Mullen and Bird played together I think we would have done much more in attack.

But 13+ against the QLDers are good anyday :razz:
 
I think that Gids wont be able to show his best footy until he is at FB. He came on at hooker and moved to halfback, I dont think he is his best at those positions, he was best last night towards the end when he could run at the line.
 
For game 1, he definately deserved fullback. But they gave it to Minichello. If Minichello pulled out Gidley woud've been next in i think. He was unlucky not to get the spot, because he was in some real form around then.
