Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall is likely to again start from the bench in Sunday's NRL clash with Newcastle even if fill-in pivot Jamaal Lolesi is ruled out with a back injury.

The Tigers are taking a slowly-slowly approach with Marshall, who returned last week for New Zealand and the Tigers after recovering from his latest shoulder dislocation.

Orthopaedic specialist Dr Des Bokor recommended Marshall only receive limited game time upon his return, as the 21-year-old is more susceptible to another dislocation when fatigued.

Tigers assistant coach Royce Simmons, who has assumed the head coaching role this week due to Tim Sheens's commitments with the NSW City Origin side, said Marshall was unlikely to start against the Knights if Lolesi was a late withdrawal.
 
Who cares i think i mean the kid is comin back to early and hes gonna be targeted by the knights i think, the tigers thought would be smarter than that but the knights are gonn kick butt!!!

i can guarentee benji will be targeted in defense after his performance for nz he doesnt have the mind set to be playing football at the moment he is going to be protecting his shoulder all day. Johns and buderus will direct play towards him tire him out and hopefully hit a gap or 2. they will be all over him like they were on thurston to shut his attack down.
