Robert Finch came out and said that Cummins had made the right call to bring it back....

I heard that! In all my years of watching league, one foot in one foot out has meant play on. So either all the calls ever have been wrong or Cummins was wrong. Or they changed the rule without telling anyone.

What ever the rule was, some sort of advantage should've been played - to allow play to go on. That should be added into the rules atleast.

I don't mind the rule how it is. The last thing we want is players calling out "Mark!" union styles.

Just thought the decision on the weekend was wrong because one foot was in the field of play. Hopefully now they have said that this is correct, it is always ruled upon this way.

But why not give the attacking team an advantage, if the other team cant shut the play down atleast.

If the team that catch the ball have no chance of making anything of it, then fair enough, 20m restart. Which will be the case almost every time.

But if the kick is poor (straight into a defending players arms with no contest from the attacking side), and the player that caught the ball is in the open, an advantage should be played imo.

I dunno, just seems like a waste of time seeing if there is an advantage or not. I mean, 99% of the time the player won't make it to the 20.

I'd have attempted to throw a fridge at him, if I had one handy!

Someone said elsewhere that he's a hometown hero, well he certainly wasn't last week for Penrith ...

I can understand why that Penrith fan threw it.

HOWEVER I doubt our Fans would be that bad to throw something at the ref now would we :p

What about the drunken guy vs Parra in 05?

Ran on, tried to make a tackle with a can of beer in his hand, but just slipped over haha.

Hahah
Wasn't that the same guy that ran onto the field after half time in Round 1 2006 against the Eels?

I gotta say, it was a really young team that tried hard that night. They didn't have the goods to combat Parra, as the 50-0 scoreline showed, but they were far from disgraced.
