Alex Walmsley

Walmsley was a mile ahead of Heighington in every aspect during the WC.
If we are signing him as a direct replacement for the 8 year older Heighington in the 2019 squad, it has to be an upgrade.

I think people need understand the difference between a direct swap and a upgrade, it is not a direct swap a $800k prop for a $150k one.

Kind of depends on how much better the 800 k prop is though and where did we get 800k from

He'll go for between $600-$800k if he comes here, and both money and addition to our roster he is an upgrade on all fronts.

Just because your swapping one body for another doesn't mean your getting the same value.

I read an article say he was asking for $600k and clubs were saying that was too much.
So a team will most likely sign him for around $500k

Don't know but suspect that our 3-4 current top props are not on $600,000 plus a year so is he as good as them or better, now or potentially, if not too dear. He looks a possibility of a signing but surely untested week in week out in NRL, he must improve our squad but only at the right price.

That's the problem with guessing how much players are on a lot of the time were not even close 500k for the best English prop of the moment yeah ok but up to 800k no i don't think so ..I would rather upgrade Daniels contract and make sure we keep him for life ....
