2026 Season

Watching the panthers last night shows how well coached they are. Every opportunity they got they exploited souths weaknesses. Heaps of traffic at Fifita making him make a heap of tackles, tired him out and could only play 55mins and was relatively ineffective with the ball. Also made a lot of metres by running at Fifita and the 70kg halfback. Ran lots at latrell siegwalt, another weak defender, produced good results. And put Cody Walker off his game by rushing him all night (not hard to do).
Hopefully when we play them again we can follow that blueprint.

Oh Cody walker. Time to give up the game mate.
Cody Walker is a very good first grade standoff. Unfortunately he has a bad habit of losing his ****e when he gets frustrated. This is certainly not new.
Just play your natural game Cody and let us admire your skill and finesse with the ball.
Unfortunately you can’t fight anymore in the NRL. You may like to leave that till you retire and do a Gal or Big Nasty.

After all the hype about the Tigers at the start of the season, they really suck. Benji was talking about learning as a coach or something before the game... yeah, about the Benj, maybe you should have done an apprenticeship under someone like Clearly or Bennett or Bellamy before taking the top job mate.

Cody's kick, if it made contact, would have been lucky to knock the skin off a custard... so yes, the MRC got it right. It's a "stop doing that stupid sh!t" sanction more than anything. His clean (believe it or not) judiciary record probably helped him too.

PS. Good news for the Knights as he misses against us. I assume the Rabbits will move Wighton to 6?

I haven't seen anything either way, but I'd bet they'd be super keen to get Latrell back with Cody out.
I believe Latrell did his calf at training last week when he was meant to come back from his back injury

He should be out about 3 more weeks, maybe longer given his injury history. Unless it was a very minor one

Nine and Foxtel will today announce a multibillion-dollar agreement to keep airing the NRL in what is the most expensive rights deal for an Australian sporting code in history.

The deal, which is set to run until 2034, and will be announced within hours, makes the sport’s airing rights more valuable than the AFL, a longstanding goal of the Australian Rugby League Commission chairman Peter V’landys.

This masthead has previously reported that the NRL agreed to a seven-year $5 billion deal with its existing broadcast partners.

Nine, owner of this masthead, will pay $145 million cash annually for the free-to-air TV rights, the company said in a statement to the market on Tuesday. Foxtel is expected to pay around $520 million annually for the pay TV component.

Shibasaki has gone back to his old ways. Been very poor tonight and the whole season really
Shiba has always been bog average. Cannot blame AOB for breaking him, he was always broken just had an anomaly of a season last year.

No club would be dumb enough to ask his asking price. Good on the bloke for getting rep jerseys but dreaming if he thinks he is worth nothing near the 600k he wanted.
