These other clubs fell for a mixture of good press on the player and the illusion that the player would look even better outside of our mediocre system.

Tbf to Thompson, most of us are just haters (including myself) who dont want to see Thompson excel at the Dogs. Reality is, the bloke has played two games of footy in like 9 months so he's probably just rusty. But ill enjoy it while it lasts

I don't think we are hating on him, it's just funny and we are grateful for not paying overs as we knew he isn't worth that money.

That's part of it for sure. But I reckon that most on here would experience relief to learn that he isn't earning his $850k.

Imo that's hating.
