2026 Season

Matt Rogers, who I think is deservedly very well respected, called the club out because Loko who is on his agency's books was not getting coached on what he needed to do to make first grade, so I can see why Flanno had to go, but seriously, how the Dragons can't come up with a coherent plan and then act is beyond me. And to call the sacking "mutual" after whinging about media agendas is laughable.

A complete circus.

I do feel for Kyle, I think he's a competent footballer, just not the superstar he looked like he was going to be when the Roosters poached him from the Sharks. Maybe Kyle should go to Perth (he'd currently be their starting 9 or as a 14) or the Super League, where I reckon he'll star.

PS. Pretty funny that the Dragons have done similar to the Knights, the CEO who just sacked Flanno extended him 8 months ago, and that extension has not even started yet. Classic. lol

After all the talk Dean Young ends up getting it. Dragons might have aimed up for Anzac day regardless but its good to not delay the inevitable.

I don’t feel bad for Kyle, personally I simply don’t think he is nrl quality anywhere, I doubt he will be a star even in England, he just isn’t good, which was backed by his sacking by the Roosters and even the Dogs banished him to reserve grade to learn hooker and in the end didn’t want him either, only time he has been a regular first grader was when his dad was the coach.

Just my opinion

He played 50 games for the Dogs across 3 seasons and has played 50 for the Dragons, with plenty of them before his dad was signed. He literally didn't play the other week, and the Dragons got flogged.

He's not a franchise player, but with a salary cap, every team needs role players, and he's quite capable of that at the right price. 129 NRL games and 462 pts didn't happen just because his dad was a coach.

PS. He was signed as a 14 (ie. a role player) it's not his fault the club lost Ben Hunt and hasn't developed a better 7.

The fact that the Roosters and Bulldogs (who were way worse) didn’t want him says it all. And there’s the talk they didn’t see him as a 7 which has been pretty accurate to date.
The other issue as it has been pointed out is the players feel the favouritism is there and when you’re 0-7 it’s hard not to agree. And again that also falls on the coach for not creating depth and competition and instead shoe horning a guy into a roll no matter what. Including a bottom three finish, playing the same guy, getting the same result

Anyway it seems like Ennis has spat the dummy and left his dragons assistant coach role LOL
Seems like Moses was in his ear

Yep they had 12 months to prepare for Hunt leaving and didn’t do it well enough

Young getting rid of his competition lol

Guess we shouldn’t be surprised Foxsports are saying an employee quit
