2026 - 2027 Summer of Cricket

Our batting woes continue

[Lefty]

Our selectors had a golden opportunity to use the Bangladesh series to revamp the batting lineup but opted not to. Our selectors need to make some hard decisions now or resign.

[Seano]

On Maddison, I think he should be given more time because he could be a solution… He did everything right yesterday until he let scoreboard pressure draw him into a poor shot.

[Macca89]

Get Ollie Davies in there started the season with a bang and a half

[Frank McWilliams]

Maddison always had potential but seemed to go missing for a few seasons, anyone know why, injury, poor form?

Yes 250 plus at better than a run a ball opening for NSW to put them in a strong position

Get Ollie Davies in there started the season with a bang and a half

If he can put together another good score, the selectors should give him a go.

[Owey]

He's only just coming back from his cancer treatment

[Frank McWilliams]

Tks Owey, didn’t realise that

[Owey]

Tks Owey, didn’t realise that

Yeah, he's hardly played any cricket. Tough job playing in this test.

[mozza]

Urgh Mark Howard. You can’t escape him. He’s like a shower fart.

[Owey]

That's a great hundred for Renshaw

[Frank McWilliams]

He has made the score competitive with good input from tail

[Lefty]

That's a great hundred for Renshaw

He has set himself up for a big summer.

[mozza]

Outstanding from Renshaw. Probably the best innings by an Australian over the last 10 years not named Steve Smith.

[Macca89]

Take a bow Renshaw

[Frank McWilliams]

Big score, well done Renshaw.

[Lefty]

Outstanding from Renshaw. Probably the best innings by an Australian over the last 10 years not named Steve Smith.

What about Travis Head’s 123 runs of 83 balls at Perth last year to demolish England and win a test match for Australia?

[Lefty]

Renshaw’s 190 was a brilliant innings, he ground down the bowling attack and played lovely shots when he wanted to. He is a complete batsman now.

Renshaw, Cummins and Lyon have turned this test around.

We have 4 quality batsmen in Smith, Head, Renshaw, Green and a quality keeper/batsman in Carey, we just need 2 more batsmen. The selectors need to select the most talented batsmen available and give them opportunities to perform and keep doing this until we have 6 competent batsmen. Maddinson deserves more opportunities. Manu has been given too many chances.
