2025 Recruitment And Retention

JAC might be soon available. I would only go after him if the plans is to develop Sharpe into a running 6. Even still he does seem to find trouble off the field so might not be worth it.
 
Dogs aren’t a bad shout after they missed out on big Stef. It does look like they need at least one real big body atm.

I don't remember seeing him - he only played a handful of games before switching to fullback.
He was always great at fullback - pretty much a try a game every season.

I do remember seeing his name in the halves on a team list and wondering if he was a younger brother of the Sharpe boys from Wyong who played for us 4 or 5 years before - but he isn't - as we all know now.
 
I do like sharpe on the wing atm. We really lack speed. There aren’t too many in our team that if they got an intercept on the 5metre line would be odds on to score the try.

It added an extra element to our kick returns lately with him coming back into to a broken field.

We have Gagai, Marzhew and Best with the strong runs and some flair from Ponga and Sharpe.

If he’s got a kicking game, he’d be very Jayden Campbell esque imo.

Something to give a crack over the off season.
 
Also take with a grain of salt, Anasta on 360 kept mentioning how we need somebody to create things when Ponga is out or not on.

Context - was talking about our players we have ‘tapped’. Buzz saying they all have been playing well…the last few weeks (post tap). Braith saying we need to free up some cap to go after a playmaker.

Didn’t seem as critical or as dismissive as he did a month or so ago when Pezet talk started. Made me think he senses a payday.
 
I'm happy for Sharpe to be playing fg on the wing at this point because it suits the team and he is gaining top grade experience. Ultimately though it will stifle many of his best assets other than being a speed merchant. His back up play down the middle alone would add a whole new dimension to our attack. He can beat big forwards one on one in the middle of the park and he can ball play (the attribute he has over Armstrong for mine).

It’s the biggest conflict of interest him being on that show same with Gus. It’s crazy it’s allowed.
