A disappointing score by Australia has opened the door for England if they can bat well.

Khawaja was dropped on 6 and Carey was very lucky that the technology was working properly when edged to the keeper.

I would love to say we are in front but will reserve that judgement until we bat. We’ve struggled against your bowlers this tour already and now you are probably stronger than the first two games with the ball in hand.

our lower order are going to get us out of this. Greens poor batting and bowling so far in the series has me standing by my thoughts that Webster should have been picked instead. Green is the big white hope that has rarely delivered. I believe that he could be anything as they clearly do but he need to deliver or learn how to in shield.

He has a bit to prove yet, should be batting at 6 if anywhere, allrounders spot and if not performing then replace him with Webster or whoever, no doubt he has great potential but isn’t showing us
