2022 season

I dunno, call me crazy but I give Souths a shot tomorrow.
Latrell has got a fire about him this year where he's realized a game can be decided by how he plays, he'll be trying with all his power to get Souths into the GF. Won't write off Parra next week either, I can see them being the side that has struggled through the finals, but then pull it off in the big one.

Definitely thought Shaun Lane was the best player on the field tonight.

But also well done to the Cowboys and @cowboyman this year on having a very good year considering at the start many people including myself had them at 15th or 16th. Some good talent with the likes of Nanai, Cotter, Dearden, etc kicking on this year is a good sign for them going forward.

I don’t think you’re crazy.

No team is unbeatable and Souths are the best team at converting chances in the attacking 20 in the NRL (that Murray-Walker-Mitchell connection 👨‍🍳 😘 ).

If they can force errors and sort of play a spoiling game, make it very stop-start, they can beat them.

Penrith are just so good in the arm wrestle & in forcing the kind of game they like to play though so they’re definitely strong favourites.

Feel bad for the cows tonight. They had the refs against them and unfortunately couldn’t get out of their own way with poor defence and the errors. Would’ve liked to see them get up as I hate the Eels.

I have to admit the Cowboys exceeded my expectation of them this year. I expected them to fade in the second half of the year.

They didn't, have to respect them for that.

Good season for them.

And I didn't notice anyone here making any snide comments about the Cowboys demise! Not so far anyhow. Unlike CBM who couldn't wait to rub it in at our demise last year!

Was genuinely hoping Cowboys or Raiders would get through to the GF. Still, phenomenal year for the Cows. Plenty of talent locked up for years to come, they'll be a constant premiership threat.

No one gives them a chance. Can't get less pressure than that.
I live in the Parramatta area. They have a huge club, an excellent stadium and an army of supporters.

But they have not won a premiership in 35 years and they have a long history of choking in big games.

Better open your eyes then

Moses missed to birth of his first child to play the game. Maybe that's why he was a bit off.
If he can play well next week I give them a chance.
They will still be big outsiders though.

Good to see Brown quickly & dominantly take the reigns for a while after Moses' two crap kicks. Gave him time to recompose.
Also, take those two crap kicks out, he had a very good game. Lightyears better than Townsend.

Obviously there's that historical pressure, but this is its own team that has no connection to any of that. The guys within that team are going to take a backs against the wall mindset going into this week because no one will give them a shot. If they've got any bottle as a footy team, they'll come out trying to shock the world.
