2022 Jersey Flegg

36-10 at full time- defence needs a lot of work - Veaila was our best - simi got about 20 minutes and did very little

Luke Knight one of the best for the Roosters. Another local who didn’t get a look in at the Knights & seems to have gone on to better things elsewhere.

How does he look as a forward? Because his skill-set would indicate that he'd make a better back. Simi doesn't strike me as the kind of player to excel doing hard lifting all game, which is 101 of being a forward

He was only out there for 20 or 30 minutes and he seemed to be standing at first receiver and not getting passed the ball. Whatever the plan was, I don't think it worked and they took him off without him doing much.
I'm hoping the Roosters are one of the best sides because a lot of guys I thought would go well - Mapapalangi, Camroux, Sasagi, Purcell, Jenkins etc - all looked outclassed.

Nice to see that the Knights have provided absolutely no information in regards to our two lower grade games today.

Absolutely the kid was in everything and one thing that stood out to me was his back ground talk and organisation hopefully Newcastle can this knight by name to play for us

Nice to see Max Buderus, Tom Cant and Tevita Toloi make the team this week.
Max Buderus at halfback over Camroux is a big call, but they need to try something new. We got flogged last week.

Honestly Camroux at the tigers was impressive. Camroux with us hasn’t looked very good. SG Ball were poor with him last year and he wasn’t able to produce much in NSW cup. Sutton and Henderson look much better prospects.

Camroux's kicking game looks great. Sutton looks like a great athlete.

Who is named in the team this week?
1. Kurt Donoghue - played 5/8 last week
2. Pat Achurch -
3. Chris Vea'ila - looks way above this level
4. James Johnson
5. Keanu Wainohu-Kemp - absolute giant - makes Vea'ila look like a midget beside him
6. Krystian Mapapalangi - played centre last week
7. Max Buderus - usually a 5/8 - had a great year for Newcastle Wests last year
8. Jyris Glamuzina - giant prop we got from the Warriors who has a lot of impact for very short minutes
9. Kobe Rugless - played lock last week - angry little guy
10. Cooper Jenkins - played second row last week and smashed a few guys
11. Tevita Toloi - try scoring second row from under 19s last year
12. Tom Cant - hard running second row from Ball last year
13. Jaron Purcell - played second row last week and kept getting penalised for working guys over in the tackle - apparently refs don't like seeing guys absolutely dominated in Flegg

Interchange:

14. Riley Jones
15. Tim Johannssen
16. Brock Greacen
17. Ethan Campbell

Extended Bench:
18. Harry Croker
20. Harvey Neville

Watching the game last week we started strong dominating possession but after 20 seemed to be gassed out and to be quite frank in closing 20 seemed uninterested walking back to defensive line without even watching what the roosters were doing a sure sign of fatigue
