2017 Test Series: Australia vs India - 3rd Test

Said it before and say it again. Warner needs to develop a batting brain if he wants to continue playing Test cricket. Batting yesterday was going to be a hard day's work, not bat less than an hour and hit a rank full toss back to the bowler.

And Sean Marsh I justdon't understand how he and Mitch made that team. Billy I think Smithy is already one of the greats bringing up his 5,000 run. Knows how to take no crap from Kholi too.
 
Don't want to put the mockers on him but I sure hope Maxi goes on and gets his century. Hope Smudge makes his a big one
 
4-324 and Maxi is on 99 .. holds breath .. and cuts through the slips for four! Risky shot but great innings.
 
Maxi is out for 104, That partnership ends on 191 runs

Brilliant from Maxwell and these 2 have put Australia in a commanding position

The other big news is Kohli has not returned since injuring himself yesterday

If he doesn't return it's a huge blow to India
 
Must admit this pitch has held up better than I thought, It will deteriorate rapidly though I think on days 4 and 5

Jadeja has got the ball to do some funny things but nowhere near what we saw in Pune and Bangaluru

Australia 7/440 atm and the target will be 500 but history has shown that sometimes 500 isn't enough to guarentee you win the game

So much will depend on Hazlewood and Cummins, They are the key imo
 
Correct. Some balls have turned and jumped in this after lunch session. 9-449 and Smithy now battling to get that 200.
 
Australia are all out for 451 with Smith the last man standing on 178 to go with Maxwell's 104

Good contributions from Renshaw (44) Wade (37) and O'Keefe (25) as well

Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers with his 5/124

Not a good last session for the Aussies, India 1/120 at stumps and trail by 331 runs

It was great to see Cummins take a test wicket after nearly 6 years out of the team. I very happy for him, he deserves everything he gets after all the injuries he has had.

It was also great to see Maxi score a ton, it looks as though we have found our allrounder at long last.

Smith just keeps getting better and better, he is now averaging 61.5 - amazing! Of the players who have played a minimum of 50 tests, his average is now the second highest.

Hopefully we can take wickets regularly tomorrow so we can end up with a decent first innings lead.

It may be great Lefty but imho he did not bowl well. Did not seem to put a lot of thought into his first session with the ball. Just excited to be there I guess.
 
I was out last night so I did not get to watch our bowlers in action.

Hopefully they will do much better today. An Aussie Knights Quinella today would be great.
