Why wouldn't they especially Stone? seriously 3 more weeks of footy than they have a month off.

Only one I'd give a break would be Fitzy.

Yates & Stone especially can't play, they've played their majority of games in first-grade I think.

Good side.

1 Meaney
2 Hughes
3 Gagan
4 Chanel
5 Cronan
6 Feeney
7 Cogger
8 Paea
9 Pearsall
10 Tilse
11 Smith
12 Robson
13 Amey

14 Starling
15 Faitotoa
16 Pat Mat
17 Saulo

18 Morris
19 Naughton
20 Bernstrom

Would like to see a couple more firstgraders, but otherwise, that's the best side of the year - except the game we had Cogger, Lamb and Randell put on a clinic.

Just noticed Elliot is out - must be injured.

I got the team from the NSWRL site, and sometimes they make a typo, so Maybe Elliot is there and not Chanel.

Tilse and Saulo played a bit similar in the game the other day.
I think Saulo saw the way Tilse was getting the team going forward and was doing the same thing.
I just looked it up, and Saulo's father (Kevin Saulo) last played for the Knights under 18s in 1995, and Tilse played his first game of Mathews in 2001, so only 6 years apart.

I love seeing Tilse back in Knights colours.
He came through to reserve grade at a time we didn't have any other big forwards, and it was great to see him come on for short minutes and plow up the field 20 or 30 metres at a time.
I remember one game where we played a Canberra reserves where Tilse and Ben Cross beat the hell out of each other, and a few years later they were both playing firstgrade for the opposite side.

So how can you play in the first semi and not qualify for the second. If he wasn't qualified for first semi then we should have forfeited. Clarification please.

18th man, assuming you don't play, means you didn't play 1sts, 18-21 extended bench should be considered cup qualification even if you don't actually play cup game. Sometimes the draw, place, timing don't make it possible to be on standby for 1sts and then play cup.

Best stats yet from Brodie Jones and Pasami Saulo.
Both can play NYC again next year, but I'm certain they are both better prospects than Sam Stone was this time last year, and if they have a good firstgrade off season, they will be in the mix to play NRL at some stage next year.
Braidie Smith is also doing better and better every game, and only Amey is doing better than him. The best thing about Smith is that he loves his defence and is a ferocious tackler. Playing 80 minutes at lock and topping the tackle count this week shows how valuable he is. He is 194cm and last year played at 104kg, but looks a bit heavier now - all lean weight, no fat on him. Another off season and he will be middle forward material - similar build and style to Chris Housten when he was good.
