2017/2018 Knights Player signing speculation

I don't know about Joe Ofahengaue but Luke Page cant get a contract with anyone why would we want him ....
 
Page is another one who looked great in NSW Cup for a time but wasn't anything special once he got to the NRL although he did only play 1 game
 
Can i ask where this hayne rumour has come from? Is there a source or has someone straight up made it up? Hayne is a fullback and we've just paid kayln ponga 750k a year to fill that position.
 
With whom is off contract for us.
Mataora paea Starling Pauli ... id be replacing 3 maybe all of them.
The twins ideally need to be in cup more often then not still.

So imo we need 3-5 new props!! hard task i know but none of the above have shown enough to re-sign, pauli excluded atm till his back in nrl having a go.

Backrow we need 1 more experienced guy... Hoffman seems to be the best option atm.

Randell is a good utility player if we can cut his contract price down.

Half is very much a issue we need to address though i dont think 800k-1mil target is a option for us.
Maybe the doge young half Matt Frawley? Has showed mbye up imo and could be here for 300k.

Wing is another spot we need to get a big powerful tall guy to give us a real target in the air.

Resign Pauli and give mataora another chance, he was decent last year.
Experienced 2nd rower either ryan hoffman or if lewis is off contract offer him 500k for 1 season, weve got the cash for it and hes still rep quality imo.
Frawley wont be going anywhere, I think foran would be awesome! Imagine the development of lamb being around foz for 2 or 3 years also.
I totally agree with that big body out wide and rumours are that roosters are looking to offload tupou and or ferguson, id take either one of them blokes. Another id like to talk with is curtis rona from the western force, rumour is theyre going to be removed from the super rugby competition lets get on the phone with these blokes!!!
If lewis is to old for everyone's liking maybe aiden guerra could be handy
 
That all sound alright sans Guerra. The guy has been atrocious the last couple of years and shouldn't even be playing First Grade.

I wouldn't say its been a failure for penrith at all, at seasons start they were premiership favourites. And on paper are arguably the strongest side in the competition. If only we were enough of a failure to recruit guys like merrin, peachy and as much as i dont rate the bloke tamou. Te maire martin another quality signing, watching him in 20s you could easily tell the kid was class. Add to that lower level signings like latu, akouola, hiku, whare, wallace, browne & rein.

I think browny is doing recruitment all around the wrong way personally. Going after out n out stars of the game after we've come off consecutive spoons and well on the way to a third isn't exactly a selling point.

Look on the market for our versions of hiku, whare, rein, browne and start competing then maybe snag a few peachys and martins while they're young then go hard after the rep quality players. Gould was wise enough to call it a 5 year plan but unfortunately brown is trying to accelerate it in 2 years... not gonna happen unfortunately
 
Have you watched them play at all? They are currently a shipwreck like us. At least we managed a few tries against the Sharkies.

SKD id be happy with.. fergo and Tupou are average.
Aidon aint leaving the roosters anytime soon and as Mozza said his value isnt worth the input he gives on the field.
Mataora had his best yr ever last yr... 87m 26tks a game... he then tossed it out the window in the off season and Brown is not gonna keep him.
Joe Ofahengaue would be a much better option imo and off contract this yr and unable to get a start in the broncos side.... id try get a mid season transfer with 2018 ontop.
Page is easierly better then Paea as well.. for the same money of Mataora and paea i think we would come out in front with those 2 options.
